I dont dislike him; I just think he's been written horribly. Theres potential there but they wasted it

Hmmm...I don't think the baby is connected to Jean in any way-not seen any traces to the contrary till now, at any rate;there's no need for her to return as a baby, she was alive and well last time we saw her,after all...she can just return,period.

Ew at Jean being a baby. It's just like saying, oh we messed up the character so bad we need to have a clean start, so therefore tabula rasa. Woot, not a big fan of that. And I can already see it now, Baby Jean producing Phoenix chicks. The corniness I cannot handle.

Jean as a baby

If they want Jeannie to come back as someone who has a promise to stay and not just become deus ex machina plot machine, they need to start thinking more creatively. Seriously, her uber powers just made her character so unusable. Winning vs. threads is so not worthy.

The best way I can think of doing that is for the Phoenix and Dark Phoenix to return as two different characters, each with maybe half of the Phoenix's power. That way, we know the Jean in the X-Men won't go evil, and she won't be powerful enough to fix everything with a snap of her fingers. Plus we'd get a new villain in Evil-Jean.

*sigh* I hate when people can't take responsibility for their own faults. None of that was Jean's fault... Maybe her death, but it seems that she put herself in that problem.

Maddie will forever be known as Jean's evil clone thanks to her Goblin Queen persona from Inferno. She was defiently evil. She was a little more than pissed. Trying to kill your infant son, your friends and helping turn NY into a physical manifestation of hell kinda takes things to a whole other level

Jean did NOT steal Scott from Maddie. When Jean came back from the dead, she didnt even know about Maddie as Scott kept that hidden from her. Once she found out, she stepped aside and they did not get romantic until AFTER Maddie "died" during Fall of the Mutants.

nope, not even her death was Jean's fault. Maddie commited suicide. She killed herself with the intention of taking Jean down with her. Jean tried to help Maddie and talk her down but she wasnt hearing any of it and tried to destroy her to the point where she ended up destroying herself

As soon as Scott got the call that Jean was alive, he up and left his wife and son at home. It took him a while before telling Jean he was married. Jean didn't intentionally steal Scott, but she is to blame for the downfall of Scott & Maddie's marriage.

Look at this from Maddie's perspective. She was married to Scott and had his baby. Then when he found out his dead girlfriend was back from the dead, he abandoned his wife to be with her. Maddie was soon attacked in her own home, her son stolen from her. She had to run to the X-Men for help, with no clue what the hell happened to her husband until she saw him on TV standing next to Jean f***ing Grey. What the hell was she supposed to think?

She wasnt possessed. She was crazy. I dont see Jean as haven been worse than her. The worst thing that Dark Phoenix did was inadvertnly killing an alien race after destroying their star. Her intetion wasnt to kill the D'bari. That was just an unfortunate side effect of her action. Whereas with Maddie, she was intetionally trying to kill and cause as much damage to those around her. But like DP, she was driven mad by outside forces who took advantage of her

Thats on Scott then. Jean was an innocent bystander. She is not to blame for that marriage ending.

I can understand that but she took things to the extreme. Why didnt she talk to any of the X-men about this? Instead she kept it all secret and kept them from knowing Jean was alive which in and of itself was dumb from a writing standpoint. How about contacting Scott? Try and find her son? Maddie is not an innocent here. She messed up just like he did.

Wait, what? A demon turned her into the Goblyn Queen. The demonic invasion was one of the main parts of the Inferno crossover, and they were using Madelyne. She was under their influence. That's why her ill will toward Scott & Jean turned into attempted murder.

N'Astirah and Sym preyed on Maddie's fears and hate and exacerbated them. They literally drove her insane. They invaded her dreams and exagerated things in order to turn her over to the dark side. They dint just simply possess her and she was evil. What they did with Maddie was similiar to what Mastermind and Emma did with Jean. Neither was possessed; they became crazy. The stuff she did during Inferno was her latent powers being reawaken. She also had a piece of teh Phoenix with her which could explain why she was susceptible
