Erm shes a cartoon dude. Anyway I don't think Jean should br brought back for awhile. Plus as soon as Jean comes back its bye bye Rachel and im liking Marvel Girl at the moment.

for once they shouldnt kick Rachel out when Jean gets back. That way they can interact.

I'm gonna stick with the consensus of the thread and say when Jean comes back she should remain single. It'd just be nice for a change.

As well as keeping Rachel around. It's killing me to say this, but I'm actually liking her right now, too.

Same. There is no reason why they can't keep Rachel around. Would be nice to see a little mother/daughter interaction. Hell throw Cable into the mix while were at it.

If they don't want Rachel to have all of the spotligt there is nothing wrong with them deaging Rachel to the point till she's much younger, so we could really see Jean in mother-mode (not infant but toddler or below teens). That would suck for the Rachel and Kitty friendship but then again Kitty might find the big sister relationship nice and they could still be close, perhaps closer as Rachel grows up again.

You know, that doesn't sound bad. In fact, they should drop Rachel's age to right around the time the sentinels attacked the mansion in her universe. That way, she'd get a second chance at her childhood; she could have back all the years Ahab's brainwashing took away from her, and she'd get to spend time with her mom.

IF Jean came back, WOULD she really want anything to do with Cyclops... I mean, he IS with freaking Emma, of all people.

(NOT an emma fan.)

Read Endsong. Jean had to basically tell herself that Scott doesn't want her anymore. When she comes back, I think she'd make it her business to get over him.

Besides, imagine the outcry and rants of female readers if they portrayed Jean so badly as trying to get back with Scott. Gail Simone would never shut up.

Hell even I think its really dumb and I'm neither female nor feminist.

The X-Men are about to be split, one team's going rogue (X-Men), another is going of to space (Uncanny), and another has internal problems (Astonishing). If Jean comes back right now they have to retcon Endsong first, lower her powers and shuffle her into Astonishing, but that'd make Astonishing a lot more soap-operapish than it is right now, and we've had plenty of soap-opera action lately with Austen and Milligan. I say keep her dead for a couple of years and then bring her back in a big way. I imagine a huge fight were almost all the X-Men are either dead or on their last legs and then she returns and saves the day.

Why would you want to retcon Endsong / why would Endsong need to be retconned?

Because they're not going to allow Jean to be on a team if she has teh full power of the Phoenix. What's the need for a team when she's that powerful? If she's going to be brought back, they gotta retcon that. The only way she can be brought back with that kind of power is for her to have her own book, and not being part of a team. And there is no way that's gonna happen. This has been discussed earlier...

I dont want Jean back in her own book. Really right now there is no place for her, they just need to wait before bringing her back.

Can't tell you how much I hate that cover and what it makes Storm look like. *sigh* Anything to make money.

Exactly, it not only gives Jean a fresh start but also Rachel as well. Also it can set up for some interesting stories to get a more positive feel to the book. Nothing sayign Jean still can't go on world saving missions. Just she needs that personal aspect as well. What better way to off set her dying then to have her raising her child, living. Keep her as a semi-regular though that way she could be free to appear in other titles. Put her on the Avengers maybe. Have her hang out with the FF for a bit. I'm still for her opening a school for some of the younger mutants that still have their powers or that might get them back or younger children that are just getting their powers. I'd feel they'd be a LOT safer being taught by someone like Jean instead of someone like Emma. Not just their track record but they very positions on mutants and humans. Emma should never be teaching kids with her Magneto-ish train of thought. Older students maybe since they can think for themselves but kids are way to impressionable. Especailly since I believe Jean will actually be fully dressed.

I think thats interesting and cool idea. But Rachel fans will probably take out a hit on you :D

I'm a Rachel fan, and I say "go for it!"

How can you miss her? She will be back like, in 12 seconds! She dies every 8 minutes!!!

I agree. You cant miss someone who has Died and come back more than every character put together. She'll be back in maybe a year or so.

:unishr:

I'd like her back ASAP. I miss her character a lot. I think Endsong came up with a great way for Jean to come back and not be super powerful. the whole i dont have all my pieces yet thing. Personally, i'd like jean to be single or with Logan. I also think she belongs with the Avengers if they are going to be doing the best of the best thing like they are now. Bendis can write her well (see Alias), plus the team needs more women. this recent pic that relates to Bendis and Cho's new "M" project shows Jean too so maybe it will be soon!

Storm looks anorexic and gross in that picture.
