Anyone getting a 3DS XL today?

Not today but I'm going to get one sometime this week.

So... Never had a problem with my 3DS... until today. I went to turn it on. I get the blue power button notice... and the wireless notice.. but no image display...

Waiting for black.. Upgrade from black 3DS to black XL 3DS.

I'll probably still get the OG 3DS whenever I pick one up. I used the DSiXL some while game testing and I can't say I was a fan.

Gonna send my 3DS out for repair..Hopefully it's easy to fix. After that, I'll probably take advantage of the trade in offer EB has going.

What didn't you like?

It just wasn't that comfortable to hold, and the I didn't see the increased screen size as a draw, just felt like I was always too close to it.

On the subject of different colors for the 3DS XL, it seems Japan is going to be getting a special yellow Pikachu edition.

You know what would have been a real surprise? If Nintendo didn't release a special Pikachu-themed handheld system.

Had a chance to buy this for my birthday, looked at the games and choose not to. I really need Metroid Prime or a new Pokemon game to get this system.

I was going to upgrade today... But decided against it.

Reason 1: My son will be 5 in December... he's a Wii Gamer right now (heh) but I got introduced to the Gameboy around that age I think so I'm saving my original for him.

Reason 2: Hate the colors... Maybe after Christmas there will be left over game bundles or a different color or two.
