I saw the movie when it came out, I was really disapointed when I found out the comic book wasn't around in the 30s.

No, but its a tribute to 30s films like Rocketman and the Commando Cody films. Its got a touch to it that feels 1930ish. Great movie. One of Disney's best. (not much competion but...)

Nice, big 15 month bump. Was randomly thinking about The Rocketeer this morning, and read that IDW (back in March) announced a complete hardcover edition set for October 2009. Can't seem to find anything else other than the original announcement, so I'm assuming it's delayed, but does anyone else have any info on this?
