Awesome news

Hello all,

Okay. Unfortunatley the file which I had that had the commentary became corrupted so im trying to view what is still intact. I just finished watching from the armored car to the Ben Parker flashback.
Trivia
Keys to the City:
-James Franco mentions there was originally a scene with ice skating. the actors trained to ice skate but it wasn't in the film.
-It was James Franco's idea for Harry to eat cotton candy during Keys to the City.
-One of the filmakers says that they were afraid to do the Harry amnesia plot because it was such a cheap thing they would do on TV shows but they thought it worked out pretty well.
-for the Keys to the City kiss between Gwen and Spidey, Laura Zisken mentions that they felt that the upside down kiss in the first movie was very significant and were wondering how to recall that moment and decided to use it again to make some trouble for Peter.
Armored Car Fight
-Tobey came up with the "Guess you haven't heard, I'm the sheriff around theses parts!"
-Grant Curtis has a cameo in the armored car playing a police officer named "Riffle" and who gets buried with corncob in replacement of sand.
-Armored Car scene was filmed in Cleveland, Ohio due to traffic problems and repaved the road for them.
-During the part where Spider-Man says "where do all theses guys come from?" the sand coming out his boot is CG and a shot was cut where he was trying to get sand out of his ears.
Restaurant Scene
-Kirsten's last shot in the film is when she is looking at the news of spidey kissing Gwen.
-Raimi does mention that he wishes certain people in the background had more screen time (such as the Stacey's) but he was pressured with the running time of the film so he had to cut things out.
-Tobey's girlfriend designed the necklace worn by Kirsten in the restaurant scene
-Laura Zisken says that she used to host this newlyweds game and listened to people's proposals and that is where she got the idea of the ring in the bottom of MJ's glass
Uncle Ben's Real Killer
-Sam says the flashback w/ Uncle Ben is the last thing they filmed in New York on July 1 2006.
-The Stacey's were originally supposed to be in Spider-Man 2.

That sounds awesome! Thanks for posting kward711.

Don't you just hate when they slap big old stickers on the cover art at least it will just be the slip cover & not the disc case.

I'm going to be posting audio clips from the commentary soon.

First I am going to post from the Emo Peter montage to the end of the church scene.

Here is the commentary with Sam Raimi and the cast from the dance montage to when Aunt May visits

and btw, SAM RAIMI and IVAN RAIMI came up with the dance montage.

anyways I strongly suggest you listen to it.

oh and sam mentions in the beginning of the film that a scene when sandman's family comes at the end was cut from the film.

Yup it was an alternate ending, which I wish they left in the movie.

the worst part is even though the movie is completed, they can't decide on a tagline. originally it was "The Greatest Battle Lies Within" then it was "The Battle Within" and now on the DVD it says "Every Hero Has A Choice". What the crap???

First of all, "The Greatest Battle Lies Within" and "The Battle Within" are the same thing. Secondly, both that line and the "Every Hero Has a Choice" line were part of the first trailer.

The text for the first full trailer went something like this: "Every hero has a choice...to confront the darkness within...or be consumed by it."

the link isn't working for me tho. if you don't mind, where did u find the video?

i'll post the final battle once I get up to it. Okay so here are some of your explanations for what the majority of people didn't like:

Opening Credits
The opening credits were designed by the same person as the first two and the filmakers felt that film footage was the best way to recap the moments in the other films

Harry's Amnesia
The filmakers were skeptical about this since it was a "cheap" escape but felt it worked out pretty well

Missing Scenes
Raimi mentions that he wishes he had more screentime for the charecters but was limited to 2H 20M

Dancing Montage
This was one of the things written at the last moment by Sam and Ivan.

Bridge Scene
This was filmed one of the last weeks so the actors admitted they were exhausted which explains the poor acting

I'll post more explanations as I watch the film.

I got to stop reading before I totally spoil myself before Oct.

And I liked the Bridge scene:csad:

Unfortunately, the last 40 minutes of the commentary is corrupted so I can't view it. I can post requests from any other point in the film before the final battle.
