Agreed.. But it not only slowed down the pacing, but it took a lot away from Tobey's performance.. With Harry showing up, and their little jokes, on top of the conedy interuptions, make it seem like Peter didn't even consider Venom and Sandman a challenge.. Which sucks because the final battles from the first 2 movies were brilliant (Especially SM1).
Yes. It was one-on-one. Proverbial 'father' versus Son. It made it dramatic and the best 'final' battle. It was powerful and emotive. Looking back on 3, it just shows how far we've fell.
