New year, new thread!
Here are the rules. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, please PM me.
Rules:
1. Anyone can take part, whether you participated in previous seasons, or previous rounds of this season, or not. However, I do ask that if you participate, please continue with it.
2. The final card will be posted after the close of SmackDown on Friday night. Once the card is up, simply post your picks for the winners of the matches on the card as well as the "Randomly Added Match". PICKS MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN 7:30PM EASTERN TIME. NO EXCEPTIONS!
3. The "Randomly Added Match" is a match added to the show that was not listed on the final card. For the sake of argument, the first match added to the show will be considered the "Randomly Added Match".
4. You do not have to predict how the matchs will be won (e.g.: pinfall/submission/DQ etc.) although you can add it if you wish. This does not change the point outcome.
5. With traditional Survivor Series Matches, you do not have to pick the Sole survivor but, it could result in bonus points.
6. You can predict the match will finish in a draw/no contest if you wish.
7. Replies must be posted no later than 1/2 hour prior to the start of the event.
8. Play fair - no editing of predictions after/during the PPV.
. Points system is below.
. Our decision is final.
Point System:
1 pt for every correct prediction
+2pts if it is a title match
+2pts if it is the main event (defined for the sake of argument as the final match to take place on the card)
+3pts if the match contains more than 4 people (e.g.: 6-man tag matches, Royal Rumble etc.)
+5pts if you correctly predict the result of every match on the card The
Half Points Rule:
Half points can be awarded to all those who participated in the PPV Prediction if one of, or both conditions occur.
1. If no one predicts that the match will end in a draw and it does, half the point value of the match will awarded to all who participated in the PPV predictions. This will not, however, count toward a "perfect card". If anyone predicts the draw, this is null and void.
2. If a match is changed by either substituting or adding a participant after the cut-off time for submitting predictions, half the point value of the match will be awarded to all who participated in the PPV predictions. This will not, however, count toward a "perfect card". If anyone predicts the substitution, this is null and void.
Randomly Added Match Bonus Points:
+5 Correctly predict the participants of the match
+5 Correctly predict the outcome of the match
Survivor Series Bonus Points
+1 per Survivor Series style match where you correctly pick the sole survivor.
Tie Break Policy
As the year goes on, ties will occur. The way these will be broken is as follows. With each PPV, the top five are awarded a separate set of points. Five for 1st, 1 for 5th, and so on. These points are what will be looked at in the event of ties in the rankings. Note: It will take at least 2-3 months for them to really kick in, though.
