Vulcan sucks.![]()
In X-Men: The End, Sinister says he is, and it makes the most sense to me compared to Adam X and Vulcan.
It was better than what's happened in continuity. That explaination sucked, and was, thankfully, not in continuity.

Scott and Alex looks like not brothers anymore...they need a storyline together.

I actually like Vulcan...so go figure.
Personally they should have left it at Adam X and ended it there. I like Gambit by himself, I don't want him tied to the Summers at all.

Alex does nto hate Scott. They actually get along fine. The Alex/Scott "feud" began with Madelyne Pryor. When Alex was first introduced, he and Scott were close and got along great together. Alex's first scene was his college graduation back in the original X-men run and he and Scott were written as brothers. Things seemed fine through their early 80s appearances together in Alaska with Corsair and their grandparents. The first time things started to go bad was when Maddie took up asylum with the X-men in Australia. Alex thought Scott did her wrong and was angry bc he thought Scott just abandoned her. He started a brief relationship with her and during Inferno, she turned him into her Goblin Prince. and I beleive he fought Scott in that story. This is an actual question, but what the hell...
Is there any reason why Alex has pretty much "hated" Cyke (616 universe) for so long?
I'm no Havok expert and only recently got back into X-comics (only reading Astonishing, actually) and even back then, I pretty much just read Uncanny.
I'm not saying I hate the guy, just...
Was there anymore to it than Alex just not liking the fact that Cyke is an emotionally-stunted stiff/goody two shoes with issues the size of a continent and a bossy streak?
Please tell me it's not just him being a petulant rebel younger sibbling figure. Seriously.

no apology. Alex "died" after he revealed his behavior was an act so he never got a chance to talk to Scott. The times that Alex has seemed to hate on Scott, he's either been mentally influenced (Madelyne/Goblin Prince, Genosha Magistrate) or he's been faking (Brotherhood). I dont see any real animosity between themHuh.
It's just, I dunno, I recalled them getting along fine in the UXM 100s (Alex was best man at Scott & Maddie's wedding, right?) and then there was the Golbin Prince and UXM 339 and the fact that they seem at each other's throat (well, Alex is pissed, anyway) in quite a few "recent" AUs.![]()
Was there ever an awkward apology after UXM 339? If I recall correctly, it was a pretty close one with Storm saving Cyke at the very last moment.![]()

hey can someone tell me about the goblin prince i don't no that part![]()
Stuck in the middle of nowhere, Alex and Madelyne slowly found themselves drawn to each other. Both felt betrayed by their lovers and so they started some sort of relationship. However, Maddie was already influenced by Limbo demons, who had awakened her latent powers, [Uncanny X-Men #239] and soon she caused Inferno in New York, now fully transformed into the Goblyn Queen, with Havok as her Prince by her side. When X-Factor and X-Men met, Madelyne manipulated brother against brother and Havok accused Cyclops of abandoning his wife when she most needed him. Soon, the truth behind Madelyne Pryor was revealed. She was actually a clone of Jean Grey, empowered by a fraction of the Phoenix Force. The knowledge of this drove her insane and she died in battle with the X-Men and X-Factor, while trying to sacrifice her son to gain more power.![]()
as far as what? You mean exploring the possibility of Gambit being a potential brother? It's just a waste I think. Exploring Gambit more would've been a better idea than introducing Vulcan.
I hate the thought of Gambit as Cyclops brother. Gambit is already a strong character on his own and does not need to be connected to that family.Potential brother or a mistaken brother. I think if they're just looking for someone powerful enough then gets tone down, there's Gambit for ya. I mean geez, that guy's been wasted, retconning him as a potential brother OR as a mistaken brother would've gave the character some justice. Then after than they can introduce Vulcan as someone like oh he's our real brother or whatever. The whole retcon thing about them in that island blah blah was so dull. Building up an old character would've made that arc so interesting IMO.
But oh well, maybe they're reserving Gambit for something, but honestly, not liking Vulcan a bit. The whole Deadly Genesis arc was a waste.
