FPW was pretty good. Better than the Smackdown series. FPW was 2nd only to the Aki-made wrestling/fighting games.

Another UFC guy was on Blind Date last night. First name Wes. Anyone know of him? I don't know his last name and he doesn't look too familiar to me. Anyway, he's a giant prick.
Looking forward to tonight's episode of TUF.![]()
Mac put on a pretty impressive show tonight.
Ha! I hardly know of him but what you describe that... with regards to his disqualification, I can see him doing that. When was the last time he fought (year?) and has he "retired" since?Wes Simms?....he was in the UFC spotlight (somewhat) a few years back because of his fights with Frank Mir who went on to beat Tim Sylvia for the heavy weight title...
as for him being a giant prick...he was disqualified in what I think was MIR/Simms I for holding on to the cage and raining boots down on Mir's head....hence the controversey surrounding MIR/Simms II

As for last night's episode of TUF... Mac fought very well and I am glad that he won. I can see him winning it all. He's slightly odd but he fights well.
What do you guys think of the "meeting" of those 2 Team Serra guys with Hughes? Do you think that's necessary?

You're right. It was him on the Blind Date show. With the attitude he showed on that show, it's hard for me to believe that he's not longer single (if he's not).Last time I saw Simms fight I believe was in 2004 Mir/ Simms II...I don't believe he's retired from fighting but I don't think he's been around the UFC for some time now...
I thought it was odd. And unnecessary...as for the meeting...I thought it was a bit awkward......and although I understand the hesitancy of these guys to switch over.....you're getting the opportunity to train with Matt freaking Hughes.....if that's the worst thing that happens to you today...*sigh*
I agree with you. Not much else for me to add on that post.Serra's gotten it into their heads that they are his boys, and Hughes is a terrible coach. Hughes might not be the best coach for them, but they should still take it and see what they can learn, even if Hughes is not the right coach for them.
We really don't see much of the training sessions this season, do we? It's more about the drama that goes on in that house. The only thing about Hughes is that he looks like he overworks his guys to the point of exhaustion and injury.
* Too long ago so I can't remember.Remember that challenge from season 2? The other coach just forfeited after Hughes' boys killed themselves.
Hey, at least he delivers. I can turn a blind eye to his "prickness" if he fights well and he did fight well. What I can't stand are guys who just talk a lot of crap but when they get into the octagon, they wimp out. Or don't try hard enough.Mac is the 'bird feeder weirdo' right? I can't remember all their names this season, but that guy is a real moody, arrogant prick. I was hoping the other guy whipped his ass last night. All he talks about is how much experience he has, blah,blah,blah....
Great. Now you've just jinxed him!And he'll still be one after he destroys Serra. But he will be the one who will have destroyed Serra.
Yeah, Hughes is taking Serra, no doubt about that. I don't like Hughes, but he'll get the title back, just to get his a** handed to him by GSP, or someone else.
...in which case..I'm going!!
