I don't have a pic of Bisping's girlfriend, but think hot British blonde babe. Kind of like Kelly Kelly but not an exhibitionist ****.

When you guys say little man syndrome, do you mean like shorter guys who have an attitude because they grew up smaller than everyone else?

I don't really get that from Hughes and Serra. I just think that Serra likes to get under Hughes' skin. And Hughes takes himself a little too seriously.

Basically this is like Season 3 with Ortiz/Shamrock all over again in many ways. Though Ortiz is more of a carny, and Shamrock is more . . . well I respect Hughes more. For a guy that was in pro wrestling, Shamrock shouldn't have taken Ortiz to heart.

Michael Bisping (15-0) v Rashad Evans (15-0-1)
Thiago Silva (11-0) v Houston Alexander (8-1)
Joe Doerksen (39-10) v Ed Herman (15-4)
Ryo Chonan (14-7) v Karo Parisyan (25-4)
Frank Edgar (7-0) v Spencer Fisher (21-3)
Chris Lytle (34-14-4) v Thiago Alves (18-4)

Mac was amazing on TUF last Wednesday. I was surprised that he dominated the entire match against the other guy. I know he is an arrogant prick, but he is one that backs up what he says. For all we can see, he didn't pull a Bisping on anyone, either. Like I told DBella a while back, he is my odds on favorite to winning this (or at least making it to the finals).

The thing is though. Mac is a real fighter. He comes from PRIDE. Bolosci on the other hand is an accountant. Just like Mac said, he's a PART-TIMER.

The guy ****ing panicked after that first pop and the sight of his own blood.

The editing was funny though. It kind of made it look like Mac was going crazy and having all this mental emotional turmoil. Like can he pull it off with all of the negativity and bad karma? And you see the other guy and he's looking more focused and cool in his training. While Mac is training and saying crap like, "My sparring partners suck and they are all terrible."

And then the fight happens and Mac unloads on this guy and takes him apart. Mac looked like a real fighter, and the other guy was defenseless against him.

Serra's been laughing and taunting at Hughes for so long. But Hughes' guys just DESTROYED Serra's boys in the last two fights.

UFC 78 Results from WON:

Akihiro Gono b Tamdan McCrory

Gono did his Pride ring entrance. In round two, he decked McCrory with a left and beat him with an armbar.

Marcus Aurelio b Luke Caudillo

A dominant performance by Aurelio, ending with punches from side mount and a ref stoppage late in round one.

Joe Lauzon b Jason Reinhadt

Lauzon, from the Ultimate Fighter reality show, won immeidately with a takedown and maneuvering into a choke.

Thiago Alves b Chris Lytle

Alves cracked Lytle with a punch early which opened a deep cut. Still, Lytle came back to win the first round. The second round went back-and-forth but the cut got worse. After the end of the second round, the doctor checked the cut and recommended the match be stopped.

Spencer Fisher vs. Frank Edgar starts the PPV show

Edgar took Fisher down twice, and a third time Fisher slipped throwing a kick and Edgar got on top. Edgar spent most of the round on top in guard, but throwing a lot of punches, some elbows, totally Edgar's round. Very fast paced movement on the ground. Crowd super hot for Edgar. Easily 10-9 for Edgar.

Second round was more of the same. A couple of more takedowns and fast paced punching from the top. Fisher is bleeding from the left eye. This isn't going to be fight of the night or anything like that, as Edgar isn't letting Fisher to anything. 20-18 for Edgar.

Three more takedowns by Edgar. Fisher never got in the game and Edgar pounded him the entire round. He was throwing hard blows from the side mount as the round ended. Has to be 30-27 for Edgar.

Scores were 30-27, 30-27, 30-26 for Edgar.

Ed Herman vs. Joe Doerksen is next. Doerksen beat Herman via choke in 2004 in Portland so this is a rematch.

Herman dominated with wrestling. He caught Doerksen with a punch over the left eye that cut him standing. Herman was too strong and dominated the whole round for a 10-9 score.

Second round was Herman get the takedowns, but Doerksen went for a kneebar at one point and in the waning seconds, Doerksen got a triangle and an armbar and the time limit may have saved it. Doerksen has cuts on both eyes. I'd give it Doerksen for the near submissions so we're 19-19.

A sloppy exchange started round three and Herman connected on a left hook to the jaw that knocked Doerksen out.

Ryo Chonan vs. Karo Parisyan is next.

Parisyan threw a punch and followed with a takedown right away and that set the pace for the round. Parisyan had three takedowns and some ground and pound to win the round 10-9.

Parisyan had three more takedowns, two off kicks and controlled the round. These matches that looked good on paper tonight have ended up being one-sided takedowns and control matches. 20-18 for Parisyan.

Parisyan got a takedown and some elbows. At one point Chonan reversed on the ground but Parisyan quickly scrambled out. The last few minutes were standing but both were tired and no strong blows connected. Fans booed the last 30 seconds and there were "boring" chants. Should be 30-27 for Parisyan. Another fight that didn't live up to the promise.

30-27 across the board for Karo.

Parisyan apologized to the fans saying it wasn't his best showing, saying he had some personal issues.

Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva

Silva spoke the truth. Alexander was cautious from the start and Silva rocked him with a punch right away. Silva got on top and mounted him, and threw seven punches from the mount and Alexander went out. Crowd went quiet as they were stunned. They had a star there in Alexander as the people were hot for him.

Michael Bisping vs. Rashad Evans in the main event is next. Final fan voting was 55% for Evans.

Evans took him down three times in the first round and connected more standing as well. Bisping did escape from the bottom twice but didn't mount much offense. Bisping was very tired between rounds. Evans took the round 10-9.

Bisping scored more in the latter part of the round, but Evans had the harder punches. It was close but probably Bisping's round. Evans gassed out and Bisping even took him down with time running out.

Third round Evans scored several takedowns and Bisping never connected with a strong enough punch to hurt him. I've got it 29-28 for Evans. Crowd started to get behind Bisping late in the round. Very competitive. Really, neither man looked like a top contender.

Split decision for Evans 29-28, 28-29, 29-28

Bisping was pretty clever, thanking the fans who booed him for coming out and showing emotion.

I think Bisping is a classy guy, so I hope he bounces back from this. I don't get the hate.

I heard 78 was disappointing.

It was O.K. Bisping/Evans was to close to call.

He got the last decision like this when maybe he should have lost. He didn't get this one which was equally close. He proved how good he is and how well rounded in this fight. He will continue to improve.

I think a lot of the hate stems from the comments made towards Matt Hamil after beating him in what many felt (myself included) was Hamil's fight...."go on back to wrestling"...it was a pretty unclassy response

I thought it was disappointing. I still don't know how that fight was considered to be good enough to headline the event. Seriously there's matching coming up in the next two shows that would have been better at the top of this card.

Alexander let me down big time, man did he get worked.

I agree... that wasn't a "classy response". I didn't like what he said about Matt after the fight but I don't hate him for it. He said Matt was saying stuff about him on his webpage/blog so I guess that was in retaliation to Matt's blog but still... unclassy.

True, I feel Bisping made errors not using more knees and the Muay Thai clinch when Evans was finding it hard to take him down.

It was a shame with Alexander, flaws were exposed. That's the problem with MMA over Boxing in prediction terms.

It was really in response to trash talk as far as I know. Bisping acted really respectable toward Rashad Evans before the fight.

Missed the PPV this past weekend (had to work), but I doubt I would've paid for it anyway. The card didn't really interest me enough to shell out the $40 for it.
Though it would've been nice to see The Heat whoop some ass. Kind of wanted Bisping to win too. Only because I wanted Hamill to give him his first loss in a rematch. But oh well.

Next up is the one I'm looking forward to, UFC 79. I can't wait to see Hughes beat Serra's ass, and watch the Axe Murderer end The Iceman. Also get to see Sokoudjou's debut against Lyoto Machida. Should be an awesome card.

Plus, come March, get to see the big fight I've been waiting for. For the undisputed MW title...Anderson "The Spider" Silva takes on "Dangerous" Dan Henderson. That's right, the knockout artist from Brazil versus the man who can't be KOed.
Dan's one of the few 185 pound fighters I think can take out Silva, and this should be one hell of a fight. Could easily be the fight of the year.

Believe it. Matt Hughes will PHYSICALL rip off the arm of Serra and take it back to his home and put it on his mantle.

FYI guys, marathon of all of TUF season 6 so far plus the newest episode at night. It actually starts with the season finale of season 5.

I love how Mac keeps ****ing with Ricky hightower, or whatever that kid's name is. LOL!

And that double decker turd toilet thing, is new to me.......

I'm happy that Tommy won last night's fight. Although he won by decision, I thought the decision was fair. Next week's semi-final match-up is a good one, imo. I would've liked to see Mac fight George but him against Matt should be a good one too. I hope he wins it all.

I think they did the match ups like that because they feel Mac and George are the two best fighters and are hoping for that match up in the finale. I wonder who is going to end up not fighting though.

Anyone hear that Serra got hurt? So now we're going to get a Hughes/GSP 3. I'm not complaining, although I did want to see the Serra/Hughes match. I'm saying GSP takes it.

GSP is replacing Serra or that's who you think should?

GSP is taking the spot of Serra. Its for the interium title, or whatever you call it. Basically, the winner gets Serra.

For serious?!! :wow: HOORAY!! Although I love them both equally, I would like to see Hughes beat GSP this time as he was beaten too quickly in the last fight. If that happens, I'll still get to see Hughes beat Serra. *fingers crossed*

I'm pulling for Rush in this one.

I'm pulling for Rush in this one.
I would like that too because I didn't think he gave his all the last time he fought Serra. At his best, he'll whip Serra's for sure. I am still not convinced that Serra is a better fighter than GSP or Hughes.

He's not!.....
