Poor Fedor, for having to waste his time on Sapp. Just come to the UFC already.

He should just fight Josh Barnett. He's the best HW out there for Fedor to fight, and one that Fedor can silence all his critics with a win against.

As for Barnett, I wonder why he hasn't ran his mouth off yet saying he wants to take out Fedor? He's usually pretty good at flapping his gums. :o

Barnett and Fedor have continuously stated in interviews that they do not wish to fight each other because of their good relationship...

BTW in a new interview Fedor stated that he'll fight on April 11-th stating Jeff Monson and Pedro Rizzo as possible opponents.

Didn't Barnett lose his lost Pride Fight to Nogueira?

Besides Barnett's to busy being a pro-wrestler in Japan.

I believe that Nog did beat Barnett by decision in their last meeting, which was indeed his last match.
Least it was his last MMA match that I'm aware of.

Huh, didn't know they had a good relationship. Still, what's a little fight among friends, right?

Better than fighting either Rizzo or Monson. The former is washed up and the latter is a chump.
Hopefully when Arlovski's deal with the UFC is done, which it is speculated that the UFC might be looking to part ways with him after his next fight, he can sign with M-1 for a match against Fedor.
Be a better challenge than either of those two. :o

Yeah i agree and plus Barnett beat up Alex(Fedor's brother) and then said in the ring ''Fedor, you're dead'' so i really coudnt believe when i read that they dont like to fight each other...

And i also agree about Monson and Rizzo...i mean even if Fedor beats both of them in one night he really gains nothing(except money that is :woot: ).

He mentioned in his interviews that Dana White made the contract impossible for him to sign, saying he is man of principle and woudnt sucumb like that...and i really respect that kind of a character but on the other hand that choice could really destroy his career.

Yeah, his refusal to sign with the UFC will most certainly hurt his reputation. And it already has.
Unless Dana starts pissing off more fighters to the point where they're looking to leave (like he's doing with Andrei Arlovski and Tito Ortiz), then there's not really going to be a whole lot of competition out there for Fedor.

We can only hope that the courts side with Randy and let him out of his contract when October comes around. From what it looks like now, Dana White might end up cock-blocking the best matchup in MMA history. :csad:

Man I just wasted 2 hours of my life watching Ultimate Fight Night. Mike Swick was silly to drop down to 170. Not only is he not that good but you don't put position yourself to flat out fail by going into the toughest weight class in the UFC.

Seeing Swick's fight go to a decision wasn't that shocking. Usually when people to a different weight class they play their first fight safely as a way to "test the waters." I wouldn't say Swick's fight was BAD, but I would say it was pretty lackluster. Having said that, what's with Burkman not being able to finish off Swick when it's obvious he (Swick) was a bit tentative to begin with?

Ah well, I think the move to 170 was a smart one after he got manhandled by Okami in his last fight. I'd love to see him match up against someone like Sanchez or even Fitch.

Hey...at least Swick kept his Tupac theme music. I was about to be disappointed.

Anyone else hoping that Mir completely destroys Brock Lesnar's UFC debut this coming Saturday?

I don't think a Fitch/Swick match would happen. They train together, along with Koscheck.

But hell yeah, man. Mir is going to destory Lesnar!

I like Frank Mir, so I'm definitely pulling for him. But I also hope that Brock puts up a good fight.

Ok peoples! Fight's only a few days away, so let's see who ya got...

Brock Lesnar Vs Frank Mir
Tim Sylvia Vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Jeremy Horn Vs Nate Marquardt
Ricardo Almeida Vs Rob Yundt
Gleison Tibau Vs Tyson Griffin
Tim Boetsch Vs David Heath
Marvin Eastman Vs Terry Martin
Keita Nakamura Vs Rob Emerson
Chris Lytle Vs Kyle Bradley

UFC guys

does Lesnar have a chance Saturday? Is he facing a legitimately good person, or is it a set up fight to get him an easy win over a fairly big named guy who isn't any good.

I really know nothing about UFC just wondering if Lesnar will win.

Lesnar has a chance, but Mir will school him. Mir is a beast.

Lesnar said he was gonna rip his head off lol

Yeah, I doubt it. Lesnar will be fighting a very good fighter in Frank Mir. Lesnar has the bigger body, but so did Sylvia. My guess is that Mir will catch Brock in a arm-bar, or knock him out.

Whoa now, I don't see anybody knocking Brock out. I think this'll end in a submission or judge's decision.

I hope someone tells Brock he's not in the WWF anymore. Haha! :D

He's been working a lot on his punching and kicking. I hope this fight doesn't go straight to the mat b/c that's what Brock is "comfortable" with.

Oh, my friend, Brock has a big chance of being knocked out. He'll never see it coming.

Oh, well Mir will see his decpitation coming! :D

Mir's no slouch on the ground either. He is an experienced wrestling champ, and is well versed in BJJ.
