OFFICIAL Wolverine and The X-men Gallery Thread

The girl in the pics Vile One posted, the one with the butterfly shirt, could that be Layla Miller?

I think its tildie, the girl from Astonishing with the nightmare powers. The one that Dr.Kavita Rao cures. It looks like her and the red creature thing looks just like the creature that she creates with her nightmares.

About the red creature... I think it's a psychic projection of the Shadow King. It has a similar face to the 90's version.

Have you read Astonishing? It looks exactly like Tildie's dream creature thing. And the Shadow King already appeared and he didnt make anything like that from what I remember.

This is a small picture but you can see the resemblance to the other pic:

So yeah, right on to the people who said Tildie.

I really like the character designs for this show. The style of characters is very similar to that of Evolution, but the designs are more based on the comic counterparts save for some certain liberties here and there.

It's funny over on the imdb boards, people complain that they aren't using the Jim Lee era costumes from the '90's show.

The costumes in this show are more in line with what the X-men typically use, and that makes sense.

Evolution took liberties since it was very much a different, new interpretation. But they did incorporate elements from the movie and ultimate costumes into the show. Basically black costumes with some colored trim. In the third season Wolverine started wearing the exact same costume as his Ultimate-verse and 616-verse counterpart.

The opening is that clip they released a while ago that has the X-men fighting Sentinels and soldiers.

Yes, I think you can watch it on Marvel's official website. Just search for it on there.

Found these on the CBR forums. These are character models posted on Eric Gordon's website. Gordon is a colorist for the series. I'm putting these in spoiler tags because they are BIG SPOILERS for characters that will appear in this show:

Emma Frost, Tribal Storm, and Shadow King

Ultimate style Nick Fury, I'm assuming Bruce Banner, Wolverine, and The Hulk

Wolverine, Maverick, Mystique, X-23, I'm assuming Weapon X Soldier, and Dr. Cornelius

I believe this is Tildie, I think they are the Kleinstocks(?), Blink (HOLY ****!!!), and Juggernaut

All I have to say is that JLU has NOTHING on this show. Screw JLU.

Trible Storm looks a lot better then X-men storm. She is one of the few charecters they should redesign.

The lady designs are totally hot.

And yes, I know that they are drawings.

Magneto: Ok, you all need to go on a diet cuz I can't have fatties in this club...

She should never take her helmet off...If they bring back Jean some point in the show, I hope they give her a makeover and give her a healthier look.

I didn't see the episode, a South American fan provided screencaps, but knowing the internet it will be online within a day.

That is called helmet hair, this below is non-helmet hair.

How does she go from short ugly hair to nice long hair?

And at this rate, we will have teh whole season online before it even premires in the US. Very bad marketing plan by Marvel and Nicktoons.

Genosha gets wiped out like in the comics and Lorna survives it as you can see below.

It was a bad marketing plan from our prospective, but we the online hard core fans are only something like .01% of the tens of millions of people around the world that will watch this series over the next several years and that is what they were thinking about. If the online buzz about the show is positive which catches the attention of casual fans and the promotion for the upcoming Wolverine film helps the show Nicktoons will be more then happy about their decision.

These are good points JMC. But Greg Johnson who works on the show did post his feelings on CBR that he wasn't happy about Jetix blowing through the series so quickly since it causes all the spoilers to get out there so quick. As well as the images.

I agree with your points, and I think all the positive early buzz will help the show. But it's still a risk when you have a lot of it out there so early.

I still think there could've been greater control over in how quickly Latin America aired these eps. and getting the air dates closer together.

BBC still seems to have no update for the show.

His post was based on him as a creator not wanting hard core fans to spoil themselves, which is understandable, but he wasn't coming at it or talking about it from a business prosective. He wanted to protect the element of surprise in his work.

Nicktoons is thinking about this purely from a business prospective. The hard core fans like people on this thread that might read spoilers, see pics, or download eps are a very tiny fraction of potental viewers and they are likely to want to watch it on the TV or buy the DVDs when they come out anyway. And, perhaps if Nicktoons is lucky these fans tell their family and friends about the show and talk about it online and thus increase the viewership.

From an artist's standpoint I can understand the dislike of spoilers, from a business stand point I have always believed spoilers (if positive) were if anything a net plus for a show or movie.

From a business perspective, Nicktoons wants the show closer to the Wolverine movie. And that does make sense, so yeah.
