Alright I have noticed this quite a few times in reviews or comments about scenes....the use of Slow Motion in the movie.

Now from what I've seen there is a lot of Slow-Mo in the movie but does it run rampant throughout the movie in EVERY single action scene there is?

I saw the amazing clip of Leonidis fighting the Uber Freak Persian Monster guy and that clip RULED!!! It had slow-mo in it, but there were some 'normal speed' fight scenes....

Will this ruin the movie for some? What do you guys think? I am kinda pissed because I've heard these comments and now i'll be SO concious of them :(

I DO however think it's awesome to actually SEE the damn fights in detail as opposed to the Batman Begins fiasco....you couldn't see a goddamn thing in the fight scenes in that movie..and that is a piss off for sure!

So will we have a happy medium I wonder? TOO much slow motion can be a bit...much I guess...but I have a feeling it's mixed up a bit and not entirely slow motion during the fight scenes

It's not just slow motion, if I heard correctly, but also fast-motion. So...I hope that there's a good blend of the three.

When ever a spartan pulls a pwnage move on a persian the camera goes slow mo in order for us to absorb the man-ness, and in time we pray that we to can be man enough to be even comparable to the 300 spartans.

We understand that as Leonidas gives it to gorgo, that we can learn a lot from it, and so the camera slows in order for us to bask in the knowledge.

QFT. :o:up:

I love what I saw in trailers and clips, but there is overdose of slow-motion scenes, which actually can hurt the movie (just like it happened with BB but in another case).

Honestly, I am pissed will slow-mo, because it's not so exciting to watch every second of the battle. I hope some fight scenes will be showed with normal spped level.

by batman begins he mean the action scenes were messed up because you couldnt see anything and hes saying in contrast that in 300 it will be the same but to slow

i think you'll be happy with the fight scenes. slow-mo, normal, hyper speed, and jumps - all four used during the fights and quite effectively, i might add

Phewfff! Well that sounds like a relief!....I hope so too :D

You know... I've seen it (3 times already) and I can understand the concern for the slow-mo, but once you watch it, it all expands out to 2 hours and is just incredible. Like even for my 3rd time seeing it, I was worried I'd be bored by the slow-mo, but I still loved it and it still doesn't seem like it takes away anything from the movie, or makes it boring, or is over-done or over-used. It's just the perfect amount and you'll certainly recognize this once you see all the fight scenes and the entire film composited together.

I heard that Captain America saw 300 and was so shocked that all of them were more manly and better soldiers than him that he actually collapsed and died.

So, is Cap's Death officially the newest Joe Q sponcered Marvel screw up to drive away more base fans? I thought the unmasking of Spidey was the stupidest thing they did, but "killing" Cap? Sheesh.

NIVEK YOU DA MAAAAANNN!!! :D

Thanks for posting that link. Truly awesome!

So I guess it's like a constant mix of slow mo and fast. Well, the actual 'action' is brilliantly cohreographed (sp?) and shot..so that's a relief!

..and like I mentioned before it's LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than those bull**** 'fast motion' action/fight scenes where you can't see a friggin' thing!

I hope Nolan doesn't film the fight scenes for The Dark Knight like Batman Begins.

ANYHOO...."300" looks to be a really beautiful film any way you shake it. :D

And its not even a cool death, a sniper just gets him...what a uncap way to die...

in 3 years fans will be like OMGTSFGORZ CAPTAN AMEICASZ RESPAWNEDZZ

Yeah no way Spidey would every unmask himself on T.V.!:cmad:

The real question is if they are going to slow mo the sex scene.:o
