Old School Leno

Letterman's company, Worldwide Pants is paying the staff for his two shows (Late Show and Late Late Show) until the end of the year. Carson Daly is going back to work to ensure his staff is paid. So what is Leno doing?

This doesn't look good for Leno. Conan will be coming out looking like a hero while Leno sits on the sidelines doing nothing.

Man...when the Writer's Strike ends there's gonna be some MAJOR tension on the set of the Tonight Show. lol. This really makes Leno look like a jackass, huh? Well...Leno only has a year left, so he's only gonna have to put up with it till then.

Leno is a bore no matter what year it is.

I read that leno changed his mind and decided to pay the salaries of about 80 non WGA workers for at least next week. I guess enough people cried about how he treated his staff and Leno wants to make ammends.

I watched. I hate to say it but Leno has actually gotten better over the years. Everyone says that he was funnier back then, which may be true of his monologue, but the show itself is much better now.

I noticed the first ep last Monday he had a similar set up like Letterman. 11:35 t0 11:45 joke 11:50- first guest. Back then he could fit more time to talk with them. I too think the format now is better. He certainly has changed. When he was escorting Julia Roberts out he kept looking at the camera and nodding his head like "yeah!" Now he's matured a bit. I still get a kick out of the news at the time June 1992 "How many of you have see that new batman movie batman returns?" LOL

Yea. The monologue is more visual these days. Back then he would just stand there and tell jokes. Now he interacts with the band which he didn't back then. I also like how much better the set is these days. Back then the sets were too boring. And the thing that bothered me the most was that he went from guest to musical guest to guest again. I like it better when its guest, followed by another guest, then the musical guest.

I see that NBC is airing more classic Leno.

this was also when Mel Gibson was sane.

Tonight an episode from `96 with MICHAEL JORDAN!!!!!! :wow: :wow: :wow:
