I remember NBA on NBC used to play Haddaway's song during player introductions.

Like I wanna hear "what is love" while Jordan approches the court.

Heh, wow, don't remember that. That is a really bizarre choice of song.

this was during the 1992-1993 basketball season... I'm sick to have remembered that... but for some reason it sticks with me. :(

Wow, the O.H.W. site I got those from isn't comprehensive enough.

Jenny (867-5309) - Tommy Tunone

...And pretty much half the s*** that Wilhelm pointed out.

promos... player introductions.... thank god it was just the tracks and not the vocals in the back.

I'd have nightmares seeing Ewing's face with "baby don't hurt me" in the background. :(

I think these were one hit wonders, but I'm not a big music guy so I could be wrong:

Primitive Radio Gods - "Standing Outside A Broken Phonebooth With Money In My Pocket" (it's either "pocket" or "hand" I don't remember)

Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's

Hoobastank - The Reason (At least I don't know of another song that made it)

Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm

I'll list this because in America they barely got a hit out, but in Europe they're huge........

Westlife - Flying Without Wings

Good question. Didnt read the first post, just assumed it was just naming one hit wonders.

Hmmm but one that I liked was Four to the Floor by starsailor remix. Not sure how it did in other countries
The only time I've heard that song has been in Layer Cake. I really liked it though.

Hoobastank had "Running Away" and "Crawling in the Dark" before "The Reason". They also released "Out of Control" and maybe some more that I was unaware of, just none of those were really "Top 40" oriented songs. They played them all the time on rock stations around here though.
