Ok everybody, what's your favourite "One Hit Wonder" (a group that had a single hit and then faded into oblivion)

I like "Blue (do ba dee do ba doo)" by Eifle 55 (?sp?).

Wax Estatic by Sponge. Uninvited by Ruth Ruth.

"Steal My Sunshine" by Len. Fun little song. But after seeing the two in the video hugging and touching and flirting and then realizing that they are BROTHER AND SISTER, the lyrics start to have an all new meaning that is just horrible... :(

SUCKED OUT, by Superdrag.

they were a great band. reuniting for a short reunion tour in November!

"Take on Me" - A HA

September 25th will now be known as HALO 3 DAY.

While I can see that "Epic" might have been their only "hit". Faith no More is way too good of a band for me to be comfortable with having on a list like this.
;)

back on topic
Plastic Bertrand - Ca Plane Pour Moi

Daniel Powter: Bad Day

Is it wrong to say that I actually like that song?

"Steal My Sunshine" by Len.
I agree with TEDDY.

Great little summer song, but I never knew they were related... weird.

Also makes me think of another "One Hit Wonder" summer song:

Katrina and the Waves - "Walking on Sunshine"

blind melon - no rain

might not have been a one hit wonder if the lead singer didnt kill himself.

Wasn't there a song entitled "Ahab the Arab"? I'm also surprised you didn't vote for "King Tut" by Steve Martin :cwink:

Yeah, I know. I never knew till I saw some sorta "behind the music/true hollywood story" special about them. Even says it on wikipedia (if you choose to believe wikipedia):

"The band has been together since 1991; the members are siblings and have an unusually strong bond with each other."

Sibblings usually have a strong bond. But how strong must it be before you get known for having "an unusally strong bond" with your sister?

Gahhhhhh.... :(
