I like cartoonish art, as long as the story isn't very serious. Stuff like Nation X can work with some silly-looking artwork. Just keep that stuff out of the ongoings unless it's a First Class or Adventures book.

The art on the Iceman bit this week was okay, though I was not impressed by either the art or the writing for the first focus my favourite X-Man has had in at least two years; but Allred again?! Jeez....

In fact I want all the gen Xers back. I'll mimic DOA in the last issue of X-Men Legacy: "I miss the Gen X days."

I've been following CB Cebulski (the guy who wrote X-Infernus, but generally works as a talent scout for Marvel artists), and he seems to be more concerned with substance over style in many ways. He'll apparently hire a more simplistic artist, but you've got to be able to tell a story. I think he also has a thing about remembering to put backgrounds in your panels.

Those preview pages with Northstar aren't the prettiest art I've ever seen come out of Marvel, but it's coherent, the action is easy to follow, and you can tell what's going on without the use of dialogue.

Doop was in his X-force run but, he never appeared in Milligan's X-men run. That was Daap

Sigh, does Emma REALLY need a side story? I liked these Nation X bits bc it focused on the X-men who got little to no panel time in UXM

Milligan wasnt too bad....he was just boring. I dont feel he really did much damage to the X-line or characters, except maybe Gambit. Austen was just bad and did do some damage

I'm still pissed about the whole Abyss situation. Guy comes back to the mansion post-Draco, floats around in limbo for a while, shows up in X-Factor...as a villain , then gets depowered.

I hated that and thought that was one of the worst things he did. I liked her writing back in X-factor, but after that series, she's spent alot of time being an emotional wreck. She was borderline psycho under Austen

Nah, Casey is the one responsible for Chamber and Stacy X. Austen however brought over Northstar and Husk, who he completely messed up. The best thing about Austen's run was Larrocca's art
