Comics One NATION, under X....

I didnt know what was up with the Asian on Asian hate. I think Surge was jealous at the thought of having Jubilee around. She already has to deal with Armor
Heh. I wonder how she gets along with Karma.

Yeah, I don't know why Jubilee was meeting with the kids, and I don't know why Surge showed up all *****y. But I did like the art and Jubilee trying to find the right words to write to Wolverine.

I loved the Quintin and Martha story, even though I have no idea who either of them are.

I hated everything about the Northstar story.

And the Gambit story, yeah, Nothing really happened, but Its Gambit, so you have to love it. Also, I ahted the art on it at first, but I think it grew on me, I kind of like it.
i did like that part of Jubilee's story. even though i dont really like her it was nice to see them acknowledging that relationship.

Quentin and Martha were students at Xavier's created by Morrison. Quentin was an omega level who started the riot at the school and Martha was one of the kids in Xorn's "special class" aka Xorneto's brainwashed first recruits. i thought that was a cute story, but i still dont know how a person can just be a brain.....

Could someone please give me a rundown on the Northstar story?
Northstar misses his boyfriend (who happens to work for his sister). the bf flies to San Fran and Northstar brings him to Utopia and witnesses the craziness over there. he says they need to take things slower and ease into his world.

youd think im giving you the short answer but thats literally all that happens. it sucked.

1. That story sounds like it sucks
2. Utopia is packed with mutant terrorists and criminals who have inexplicable amnesty; why would he bring his human boyfriend there?

Also, Northstar was being attacked continuesly by little marshmallow polar bear hawks. And he tripped Dazzler while she was rollerskating.

Yeah, wtf were those things? They weren't supposed to be little Predator X's I hope.

All four stories had a lot of flaws, but I can't say that I hated any of them. I liked the Jubilee story because of the art and the fact that it featured the kids, but Surge was a jerk, and the resolution was wasn't very good. The Martha story was my favourite, but Quentin was written poorly and very simplistically. The Northstar story was actually pretty fun (did anyone catch Blindfold playing basketball in the danger room lol) but Northstar was written as someone very immature and out of character. The Gambit story was boring, but the art was really cool, imo.

NATION X #3

STORY BY Chuck Kim, Grace Randolph, Corey Lewis
ART BY James Harren, Corey Lewis, Gabriel Hernandez Walta
COVER BY Dustin Weaver
PUBLISHER: Marvel Comics
COVER PRICE: $3.99
RELEASE DATE: Wed, February 24th, 2010

Danger is back with the X-Men and it's time to pay for the death of her first victim, Wing, in ASTONISHING X-MEN. First in line for pay-back is Armor. Meanwhile, Magik has banished Anole to Limbo, but why? Cannonball's hands are full dealing with the incoming military jet threatening the mutant's new home. All this plus a story that is so top secret we can't tell you who is writing it or drawing it or who it's about!

1. Anole is the one who'd sooner gravitate toward a normal life than the life of an X-Man. He'd be the last one complaining about mundane farmwork.

2. Apparently no one told Anole that the Rasputins grew up on a farm.

Do they purposely look for the worst artists possible for these stories???

seriously, if were lettin 5 year olds draw the X-men now, let me have a shot...
Make mine (drawings into a comic) Marvel!!

You know, it's funny. CB Celbulski (editor and Marvel's talent scout for new artists) tweets all the time about how important it is for artists to be able to tell a story with their art, get their work done on time, and pretty much everything you'll ever want from a comic book artist...

But he never talks about the importance of aesthetics. It's like he cares about everything except whether or not your art makes the readers' eyes bleed.

the Armor/Danger story looks the most promising, even though it looks like it was done in crayon...

Oh my god. It honestly does look like it was drawn in colored pencil, then colored in crayon.

Why do the characters in the "Boxes" story look like they are 2 feet tall?
