Open question: Where did the X-Jet come from?

Great thread - this is what I love to see on here: intelligent arguments, lateral thinking, an enrichment and deeper probing of the X-mythology...

The X-Men's comicbook costumes were designed by Mr Fantastic (Reed Richards) so he may have had a hand in other technology.

Not to mention Magneto's metal manipulations, which would have proved very useful in 'sculpting' and crafting various designs.

In X2, isn't there supposed to be a nod somewhere that Magneto's plastic prison was developed by Tony Stark? (Iron Man)...

The involvement of Forge is a very good assumption. Also there is the comicbook character called Madison Jefferies, a master builder/mechanic who can psionically manipulate machinery.

I recommend people get the 'Marvel Encyclopaedia: X-Men' - a book including details of most X-characters, the mansion and the X-jet too. It's well-illustrated and is an absolutely superb guide to the comicbook universe.

i'll just assume Beast is a genius and they created it all from scrap iron and lots, lots of solder.

Well techically all we saw him do it finish the paint job...we never actually saw him constructing it.

I was joking! :)

Oops.

Sorry, most jokes fly right over my head...especially on the internet. :O

i have a feeling that if an x4 is made, the x-jet will just mysteriously reappear as if nothing happened to it in x3.

in the x2 novel. it says xavier payed military contracters to make it. It's also possible, and most likely, that it was a high tech new model for the original sr-71 blackbird that was possibly discontinued do to its budget and complexity and Xavier secretly took/baught one of the last ones and re-modeled/upgraded it. I think the real open question here is how the hell do they re-fuel it??

I really love this though. I really love the idea of how Xavier and Magneto created the school, the x-men and everything. I think Xavier, Magneto, Moira, Forge and military contractors all took part in it. Its really one of the most amazing and mind wondering things in the movies. We all know Magneto helped Xavier build the lower levels. We can all guess who gave him the X-jet. But who

Gave the technology for the danger room?-Military contractors and I really like the idea of Forge being involved.

Cerebro-surely Magneto and Xavier had to have some help in building that

-War Room- one of my favorite rooms.

-The uniforms-Maybe Moira had a hand in that and more military contractors

Its just all intruiging to think of..

The problem with that is the Profoessor wont need any help in building it since him & Magneto can do it with their minds

It'd be a nice little easter egg in Fantastic Four 2 if Reed Richards makes a remark about providing the X-Men with uniforms, like he did in the comics.

but the movie-verse uniforms could be done in any cheap sewer with some leather  its not like the uniforms are molecular types that addapt to their bodies like what happens in the comics.

well the movie uniforms are supposed to be like body armor. They have body armor, adjust to temperature, ect. molecular is possible though since it seems every suit fits any x-men perfectly. lol
