Opening weekend predictions

So we're a month out from release what does everyone think this movie will open to ?

My guess is between $40-45M,i don't see the critics being over enamoured with it but i think the visuals in the trailers/TV spots will entice the young crowd in no problem and there seems to be humour running through the movie that will serve it well with the mainstream

That was the number I heard last, but I think someone clarified in the other thread with opening projections.

I recently saw 1...ONE commercial on tv for GR where they were trying to make it look like a screwball comedy...I SWEAR! I KNOW what I saw!

If they're trying to cross-promote this movie, it is the WORST job i've ever seen. And it will blow up in their faces, I can promise you that.

120 is the number it appears lads. On the websites and other info I found. My bad. So $120 appears to be it. So. It needs to make significantly more than that I would think to be a "success". Maybe MSJ can illuminate us on the goal for the total gross.

I don't think anyone knows 'for sure' what the budget is. The last we heard though was 120-125 mill.

My suggestion would be to use this simplified one for opening weekend gross and get someone to start a Total gross thread as well

I don't like closing threads so, no worries on this one goin' anywhere HR. I think I'm just gonna keep both of these the way they are. They are different questions/polls after all. There's no real need to have another, though.

I don´t wanna put my hopes up too much cuz, you know, GR isn´t a household name character. But the movie looks good so far, my guess is it will have decent legs at the BO.
