Orange Box...

Wow. You can play a three year old game.

Good for you.

No really.

Good... good for you.

(graphics suck)

The graphics look better than most of the things being released on next gen consoles to this day, and no, only one of the games is 3 years old. Epic failure :(

I think I will save my money for Call Of Duty 4, Mass Effect & Assassins Creed.

To hell with Valve. All I want is the damn Episode 2. I already have HL2 and Ep1 and I don't care about TF and Portal. The price for Episode 1 was too much considering the length of the game and they could at least make it easy and cheap to buy Ep 2. I love HL but Valve has acted greedily in my eyes and I have lost respect for them.

Episode 2 is almost as long as Half Life 2, so the price tag isn't really that bad.

Half-Life 2 looks a generation behind in comparison.

Your images don't work. After copying and pasting the first url and being greated by a bullshot from that Gears of War abomination, I see you misunderstood the meaning of "most of the things being released on next gen consoles". And the shots you posted are pretty bad. Half Life 2 doesn't look that blurry on my PC. Regardless, no one is buying the Orange Box because they're graphics ****es, they're buying it for a really fun experience and a really good story, which it provides. And if they are looking for graphics, Team Fortress 2 on my PC has stomped anything else I've seen thanks to the awesome art direction.

I've already played Half Life 2. I found the online comic about Gordan Frohman to be more enjoyable. I'll pass on the double dip

Buying the same thing again, but this time it has new spiffy extra features and content and stuff

I haven't heard that but I haven't been keeping up with HL news of late. Been gaming on my 360 more and more and on my PC less and less. But still, HL2 is what, $10 to 20 now? And as short as Ep 1 was they could make up for it by making Ep 2 easily available and cheap.

It is an older graphics engine as well. I just don't see the bargain. All I see is Valve being greedy.

I dont get why they canceled the Black Box. That would have been great for those who already bought the previously released games. But I do beleive you can get the game seperately on Steam

It´s a damn shame, i know, but i still haven´t played HL2 (obviously, the same goes for the others), so, the orange box is a amazing deal as far as i´m concerned.
The reason, i had a sh**ty PC back then, so i never bought it.

I still have to decide between buying it for the PC or the 360...
The only pro i see on buying it on the PC is a graphics, which are better if you have a high end computer (i do), but from all the reviews, they all say that the difference between both is not all that.
As cons, the all Steam thing
On the 360, i see no cons, except the graphics, but that i already covered....

So, if anyone can help me on my decision, that would be great

If your PC can run it, get it on PC. There are way more people playing TF2 on PC than on Live, the graphics are better, you get mods, you get the superior version of Half Life 2 since they apparently just ported the chopped up xbox version to the 360, and I believe it's cheaper. And I'm not sure why you'd list Steam as a con, it was a glorified patch service in 2004, but it's a free, superior version of Xbox Live now, it's definitely not a con.

You´re right, to say that list Steam as a con was stupid of me. I downloaded it yesterday and it´s a great service.
I´ll probably get it for the PC, where it runs just fine (Core2Duo 6600, GeForce 7950 GT, 2gb ram...)

I went ahead and just Steamed Ep 2, couldn't wait any longer being a HL fan. Great ep, I find myself playing for longer than usual stretches. I am at a very hard part now though :csad:

How many hours is each HL2 game relatively?

HL2 took me a while to get through. I think over a week of playing it for 2 or 3 hours a day. I'm not a speed player, though; I take my time and try to take in everything that the game is presenting, especially in HL games, since the story is so integral.

I'm playing Episode One right now, and it's pretty short. I know from looking at game guides what the titles of each chapter in the episode are, and I'm pretty sure I'm almost through the second-to-last chapter after playing for about 4 or 5 hours spread over 2 days.
