Orange Light?

I noticed that whenever I turn my wii off, the power light turns orange instead of red. Does that happen to anyone else? Does anyone know what that means?

Orange Light of death!!

The orange light indicates that the Wii is in standby mode. This isn't very good for your Wii, as it runs at 50% power with no fans going.

DING DING DING!!! That's your best bet, just unplug it when not playing it. You will save it from a slow, debilitating wear and tear...

You can turn off the Wii completely by pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds. This will completely shut off the Wii, without any Orange light.

mine started turning from red to orange after i started getting online with it.

All you have to do is disconnect Wiiconnect 24, as the orange light indicates it is hooked up to the internet still so that you can get messages and such, and no it does not use 50% power while turned off.

Red just means it is now cut off from the internet.

Whatever you want to do...but if you go in the Wii's system settings > WiiConnect24, you can shut it off and orange light be gone.

yeah, every other site says to just disconnect wiiconnect24...you shouldn't have to unplug your wii every time you turn it off.
