Orphaned Engine on Hard Drive?

I tried Google, but it's about as helpful as a thong at a Weight Watchers convention. What's it mean? I"m sure it's not good

Hard to say, it means different things depending on the problem. In my case when I got this, it meant a missing registry key for a program I use at work. I'm sure that was as helpful as a kick to the nuts, but that's my limited exposure to 'Orphaned Engine'.

Well, whatever it was, I ended up fixing it. I had to run CHKDSK twice, but whatever it was, I got it working.

I got the error when I was using my disk defrag program [Diskeeper], and tried to defrag my 80gb HDD. Luckily, only thing on that hdd is "My Documents" and my WoW stuff.
