Oscar Isaac Will Star In Ex Machina Adaptation, The Great Machine

The Ex Machina comic only shares a title with the movie. Vaughan and Harris’ story focused on Mitchell Hundred, the world’s first and only superhero. As the Great Machine, Hundred managed to save one of the Twin Towers on 9/11. The comic followed Hundred’s term in office as the mayor of New York and the origins of his powers. But it was always more of a political story than a superhero tale.

Isaac will play Mitchell Hundred, and he is also the first cast member attached to the film.

Maybe Alicia Vikander will show up too. :o

There were two films in the same year (1989) called Black Rain both about the same subject matter of toxic rain and industrial waste, and both were set in Japan. That was rather confusing. But only one of them starred Michael Douglas fortunately.

:argh: Noo. Change the title to "Oscar Isaac to star in Ex Machina", and confuse everyone, thinking it's old news about a film from a few years ago!

Language trivia ;nd:

Though “adaptation” (four syllables) is the more common form, many still use “adaption” (three syllables - like adoption). Both words mean the same thing and both are considered correct.

Though, in the movie biz, I think “adaptation” is preferred.

I wish this film were called Ex Machina and that they also managed to get Alicia Vikander and Domhnall Gleeson to star in this as well.

If they really wanted to set it apart from the previous film so no-one thought it was a sequel, they could call it Ex Machina Too. :o

It would be funny if people go to see this film in theatres and it's just the same film as the other Ex Machina.
