Advanced Dark said:^ That won't happen Hunter. X3 turned out to be more of a popcorn all action flick for a reason. The actors contracts were up and they had to close out all storylines from the first 2 films and bring closure to it as a stand alone trilogy. It'd be weird if they left things open and lost half the cast. That's why we're getting Wolverine and Magneto movies first. That gives them time to either negotiate with as much as the cast as possible to bring them back, or maybe start over with an X-Men origin film after the events of the Magneto film. Fox also wanted to make sure we saw all the characters in action and throw in some new ones probably to use as characters to transfer over to the next trilogy as anchors. It's much easier to have a follow up film with a character like spiderman or batman with a different actor then to have a group with several different actors taking over roles.

don't try to argue with people who don't know how to use a door knob. Just go **** around in the lounge or something.
or watch porn
Advanced Dark said:^ It was harmless fun and I enjoyed it. I do understand why some long time fans would be pissed that it didn't have more meat to it but this is a big studio not some inspired indie film. They have to make their money back for the franchise to continue...and it will. Fortunately we have a Benioff/Wolvie flick coming and nobody has been hired for the next X film so there's lots of potential.
I'm in the lounge at the momenthunter rider said:Kaylani is porn and she is stuck
The lounge i was told never to visit....I'd go to the TF section but CFlash might be their talking about rice heads

hunter rider said:I don't think anyone wanted an indie movie but X2 managed to balance action with character and maybe X3 could have if they hadn't added so many needless ones and cut the run-time so stupidly short
As for Wolvie,i'll wait to see who is directing before i get interested
Carp Man said:Speculation there, but if they spend a quarter to half the movie doing the origin of the Surfer, indeed it will be no better then the 1st. And all that talk about amped up, faster paced, more intense story, would be just that talk. I'm looking forward to an exciting, thrilling FF movie, not an origin movie again. Any explaining they have to do can be done during the Surfer movie, not here.
I have no problems with SS being a mystery but i hope they explain some of his origin. You can't rely on the stand alone film for doing that because that isn't a sure thing yet.Advanced Dark said:Reading. It's fundamental.
I don't remember where and when I read it but I read this is not going to be some big origin film of the Surfer. The Surfer's gonna be a big mystery and I'm sure they'll give us a background as to his purpose but they are saving the whole origin story for a stand alone film.

Elektra 97 minCarp Man said:Why the hell does everyone assume this movie will be 105 minutes like the 1st one ? X-Men 2 was 30 minutes longer then X-Men. You think Fox does not know there is a lot to fit into this movie ? They are showcasing the Surfer for goodness sake. 1st film was 98 minutes movie time, add 30 minutes onto that 128 minutes. It will be 2 to 2 and a haf hours guaranteed. Plus this movie will be fast paced. Not plodding like the 1st one, so you'll be able to fit more in just a bit more space. With Surfer hitting the movie 5 to 10 minutes in, what does that tell you ?
Retroman said:Elektra 97 min
Daredevil 103 min
Fantastic Four 106 min
X-Men 104 min
X2 133 min (no studio editing and it shows - one of the best comic book flicks ever)
X-Men 3 104 min
Nuff said.
Advanced Dark said:It's hard to argue with that except the only one in there with over 2 hours is a second film in the franchise...as is Rise of the Silver Surfer.
I'm cool with only a few minutes cause i want to see a healthy dosage of Doom in Latveria as well.Carp Man said:Hey, if they want to mention it or give it a few minutes of the movie, I have no problem with that, in fact that would be a good thing for the stand alone SS movie, but not devoting much screentime to it.
I didn't expect it to be like that.Advanced Dark said:^ Oh they're going to have to explain his origin a bit otherwise there's no character but it's not gonna be an origin film where they spend 30 minutes of the movie showing Galactus threatening to attack his planet and then making him his Herald, etc...
That would be a nice scenario if the SS film ever gets made.Advanced Dark said:The Silver Surfer stand alone film(s) should conclude with him zooming towards the Earth where it would merge with this film.

You guys seem to have more faith than me.We'll see how things turn out.Carp Man said:I really do not think there will be much editing done. This movie will move at a faster pace then the 1st, plus there should be enough action, and excitment to satisify Fox. t:

I just don't want to be watching the dvd a year from now wondering why some great scenes were left out, yet again.
They invested a lot in those other films as well. Especially X3 which cost 200 million i think.Carp Man said:I just think Fox has too much invested in the Surfer to not give the character a full view. That's where my opinion comes from. I mean they are shelling out big bucks for his sxf for Surfer, why would they fail to show it all ?
