Ozark (Netflix)

I loved Season 2 and I'm only 4 episodes, but yeah so far this is destroying that season already. So much great stuff with the Helen/Wendy team up not to mention the cartel stuff with Navarro probably being one of the most interesting and compelling crime bosses I have seen in a show since Gus Fring in Breaking Bad. Ruth starting to come into her own is pretty awesome to watch too and Tom Pelphrey is such a fantastic actor and addition to this season.

I didn't really like his character all that much in Iron Fist, but I knew the guy could act and so far they are really letting him shine in this role, but that's what happens when you actually have good writing in a show I guess.

Two episodes in and God it is good to have this show back. Master craft television here. All I have to say.

why the F doesnt Netflix advertise their freaking shows?! I only knew the new season was up because of an article that went up on Screenrant today. Sigh. Wtf Netflix??

Finally finished it and yeah this was definitely the best season yet. Episodes 9 and 10 are just some of the most emotional and intense television ever IMO. Episode 9 especially hit me kind of hard emotionally and man do I hope Tom Pelphrey and Laura Linney get some kind of Emmy recognition for their work this season. Just excellent performances from those two throughout and I never thought I could be more excited for a Season 4, but that ending had me shook. Very much looking forward to the next season.

I’ve decided to pace myself with this season and watch it in two episode increments, i want it to last as long as possible because damn i love this f***ing show. Laura Linney is crushing it.

Also, LAWD. The therapy scene in the beginning of episode 6. Holy CRAP, Bateman and Linney brought it.

Agree with most of the above comments, I really enjoyed the first two seasons but the third is EASILY the best. Truly gripping and emotional.

Im almost done with episode 9 and my nerves are a wreck. This show is INCREDIBLE. This is some of the most gripping television I have ever seen and I have seen a LOT of immaculately scripted and directed tv shows over the years.

I'm way behind, but this show is amazing. I'm still on S2 (I know, I know) but each episode just keeps getting more intense and impressive across the board.

This might be the best show to premiere in the past few years, as far as I'm concerned.

Just finished S3. That ending! :wow:

Though I have to say, I feel like Navarro totally made the wrong choice, lol. Like, I definitely would've banked on Helen if the Byrdes weren't the damn protagonists. I'm not quite convinced the show earned that particular development, if that makes any sense. The Byrdes being these magically persuasive talkers who can talk themselves out of any situation is kind of wearing thin on me, tbh. It's becoming a lather, rinse, repeat thing, and I only buy the persuasiveness of their speeches about 75% of the time at this point.

Also, me for the majority of S3: "Why did we keep Darlene on this show?"
S3 finale: "That's why."

Laura Linney's coming for her 5th Emmy. And Ward Meachum's a much better actor than I gave him credit for, lol.

If I'm being honest, I don't think I hold this show in quite so high esteem as most in this thread seem to (Breaking Bad still soundly tops it in my eyes, for a start), but it's nonetheless a very compelling, well-written and acted show for sure. Probably my 2nd fave on Netflix behind Mindhunter.

And yet, I feel like no one watches this show. I've been screaming from the hilltops to everyone I know to press play on this and no one seems to want to. But that damn Tiger show though...

It's just another case of Breaking Bad vs. The Big Bang Theory. Two very different types of audiences, and depending on the people you know/hang out with, you might not know anybody who watches one of 'em, but they both most certainly have a following nonetheless.

So they just added that great Waco mini-series from a couple years back to Netflix. It's really weird seeing Julia Garner on that after seeing her on this show, lol. She so different from Ruth there. Great actress.

Word. It was a real punch in the stomach. Hit me very, very, very hard.

This series is a true gem!

I just watched it in its entirety over the last two weeks, and kept wondering why I didn't hit play earlier, despite being a fan of Jason Bateman.

I'm a die-hard fan of this series now!!

Guessing they will try bring back Alik Sakharov to direct,he directed 6 episodes of the show in the past (including 4 from S3)

So having never watched it, I’ve binged all 3 seasons of Ozark over the last 3 weeks. This show is brilliant! Definitely in my top 10 list, the cast are all stellar and the story keeps you guessing constantly. I’ve always had Jason Bateman down as comedic stuff but his role in this as both actor and producer shows his talent for more serious fare.
