ozzy v. linkin park

Hey, figure go off the subject of comics and turn to music..

Both ozzy and linkin parks new albums came out. I was just wondering which you think was the better album. I understand they just came out,and might take a few listens to get it down.

Black Rain is better than ozzy's last album. I wish it had a little more punch to it,little more old school. Little too political in some songs. Had some good rhythm to some songs.Only 10 songs,think that was the right call don't wanna push it too much.

Linkin parks first album in a long time. I guess if u were expecting the same ol' Park,electronica type grunge, You would be very disappointed. Seems they took a different approach to this album,made it more basic. Like ozzy's it lacked some punch to it. It had some catchy groove's to it,just not what ya wanted from them.Especially this is their first album in long time..

whoa, I have never watched wrestling, but my PBS wouldn't work last Friday night, so I was forced to.

I was happy to hear that Ozzy was going to be playing a new song off Black Rain live!

It was utter CRAP.
Sounded like something you'd hear in an 80's jet fighter battle scene.

I don't normally listen to Ozzy, so I'm not sure how that one song compares to his older stuff. But I can say that his performance on Smackdown was horrible. Does he normally sound like that?

I haven't heard either new album, but considering Linkin Park suck and Ozzy is probably the most influential figure in heavy metal along with Page, Ozzy wins.

McCartney's new album's going to smoke both of them, though.

Memory Almost Full hits on June 4th. The two reviews I've read for it both gave it five stars, and the first two singles have been released and the video for one is already on youtube.com

Ozzy has done some of the best stuff, but also some of the worst.
Judging by the big song he chose to promote the new album to a huge chunk of the world, Black Rain will most likely fall into the latter category.

The chorus sounded like when Christian Pop Musicals would come to town trying to do a "Youth Outreach". *shudder*

Not that big a fan of either. Ozzy isn't my type of music, and I just don't like Linkin Park, but if I HAD to choose, I'd choose Ozzy.

I've heard two songs off of it.

Dance Tonight was decent, and Ever Present Past is pretty good.

"Ever Present Past" is easily the better of the two. It has a great hook and overall is a kiler song. "Dance Tonight" is a fun little number in vein of "Her Majesty" or "Honey Pie".

Well most of Ozzy's/Sabbath's stuff has a clear message with some weight to it...cutting yourself because you didn't get a red ryder wagon for your fourth birthday just doesn't carry as much weight as nuclear fear and loss.
