I agree...but still...its insane
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll cry out for the Terminator to save them. I mean, that is the only reason why California voted for him in the first place.

I assumed wrongly
On another note, it looks like eight different states at approximately the same time are now trying to declare sovereignty
They are: Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Washington
Surprised the MSM is not reporting this... oh well...
We have a small group here in Texas talking about that.......they mostly live in the Davis Mountains.
I think Texas is more worried about the country to the South of us, more so than a few 100 fringe weirdos.
Canada is the one having much more problems than the US in that area.
Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, even the Maritime Provinces have brought up the idea.
Don't see much there for the teachers in that spending package. I see alot for certain programs....which means the only way I would see any of that money is to start saying yes everytime someone wants me to work with a new program.
I don't think they'll let out the serial killers, child molestors, and etc. If anything they'll probably release guys who have minor crimes compared to the ones I listed. When I say minor I mean child support and so forth.
I can't see them actually releasing dangerous criminals.
Yeah, I was pretty shocked when I heard this, but I was under the impression it was mostly people who were convicted for stuff like minor drug offenses, etc. Nonetheless, our state is a joke.
Maybe if you guys didn't elect an actor with no political experience as governor of the largest state in the country, you wouldn't be in this mess.
t:well i wasn't here at the time, so I can't speak on that, but I do hear that the CEO or former CEO of EBAY is running next election.t:
I'm from Florida where we kept electing Jeb Bush, i don't know how much better that was.
Didnt Meg Whitman cause eBay to tank when she was CEO? I don't see how she'd be much better...
Economically, he was fine. Socially, he was horrendous.

I voted against him personally, and voted against the recall. I can't speak for a vast majority of the idiots that voted for him simply because they liked the Terminator films. Personally, I don't know what the hell we were thinking, but it didn't help that our Democratic Governor was just as bad, if not worse. The next election doesn't look too good for Democrats either, unless Feinstein steps down from the Senate and runs.

I hope Democrats can convince Martin Sheen to run for governor.t:
Yes she did. I'm dreading the possibility of her running. Like I said in my previous post, unless Feinstein runs (which I've heard she might), Whitman will probably win. The haven't really been any names on the Democrats' side being thrown around outside of Feinstein that have the star power that Whitman does. However, if Feinstein does run, it's pretty much assumed it's hers to lose.
Feinstein had ran for governor once before, and maybe she will do so again. I really don't see why Californians would want to vote for Whitman just because of her past association with Ebay, however.

I am amazed, how a state government, California, can get in a 47 BILLION shortfall.
Thanks for clarifyingStates dont have to "declare" sovereignty. They are "sovereign" to begin with by the nature of the 10th Amendment. Hence the "United States of America" as opposed to "America." Those artciles you link to show them basically asseritng that the Federal government is over-stepping it's bounds and regulating items that are the sovereignty of the states. This happens all the time, i.e. People v. NY, etc. when a state feels the Federal government has tried to regulate something which isn't in their enumerated powers to do pertaining to that particular state. This happens with things like abortion for instance.
You're confusing declaring sovereignty with advocating secession which no state is doing.
Jerry Brown?
Jerry Brown is looking at the governship....and he looks great for his age.......

Never mind... second paragraph of the article you linked. Interesting choice. I had no clue his name was being thrown around.
