I also love their parenting style of let the kid's do whatever they want, let them make their own decisions, they're toddlers, they need boundries and parents. Also love their stance against school as it's too establishment and not everything you learn should be in a certain building between 9am and 3pm. There's a lot more that's going on than just the book learning, like learning how to be social, make friends, etc...

What I said on my friend's Facebook page where I got the article:

"Gender roles are not a cultural thing. Males and females are biologically, physically, mentally, emotionally, and instinctually different. The differences in gender, and the roles that both genders play, is not cultural, it is natural. Trying to be overly progressive and letting your children decide what they want to be is not good for them."

Now, just for the record, before it gets to that point - if a grown adult decides that they are a "woman trapped inside a man's body" and want to go through with a sex change, then that's a different story. They are a grown adult and have the right to make that choice. It might be a choice that I don't agree with, but as a full grown adult, it is their choice to make.

As a child, however, these parents are doing nothing but setting their kids up for failure.

The real life doctor involved in the david reimer case didn't deserve much more.
He tried to build his career on this tragedy, setting out to prove his theory at the cost of a child, going so far as putting this boy on estrogen pills and being convinced that humans are all blank slates and he'd fit in as a girl.
