When it comes to spoiling kids, do the mothers tend to spoil them more or do the dads spoil their kids the most? Or do mothers and fathers tend to spoil their kids equally?

Like how teenagers can get spoiled when their parents buy them everything they want no matter how much it cost. And the teen expects to get everything handed to them automatically without working for it and the parent will give in if they throw a hissy fit. That kind of spoiling; typically seen on my super sweet 16.

well bs reality shows aside I dont think its good to give teenagers whatever they want and if the parent does a good job there teens wont either. When I was little i was fortunate and loved going to the toy store BUT I didnt just get what I wanted for nothing,I had to explain why i wanted it and what point it had, luckily most of it was hulk stuff and it fed the collection but if it wasnt Id always have something to do either before or after i got whatever that somthing was.I know there were times i got things for nothing but again,I was fortunate and I beyond that I was good in school and because of all this I became a very giving person which i still am today.Teenagers is somthing different, they are to close to coming into real life and should not be given anything they want,I do however think they should get a car before they are 18.Stuff like clothing and stupid stuff should be there responsibilty and that what i went threw.I knew that my parents could be me all that stuff because they went to work each day and worked hard before that in collage and so on so i grew up with that in mind and worked from the time i was 15 doing whatever i could and since then ive become a workaholic.Cool thing with that is instead of paying for the addiction its paying me.

As for which side spoils the most I dont think it has to do with gender(although if i had to say id say moms,in my case it was dad anyways)as much as up bringing, say your mom grew up with 3 sisters and each had a special talent or had somthing she didnt, shed end up giving her kid somthing because she didnt have it,same goes for dads BUT in soe cases dads will give to compete or keep up with the moms habits.to comment on shows like that I will say 90 percent of those kids will be crippled in real life and would end up killing there selves if the money went away.

Spoiling a kid does not happen by giving them stuff, there your kids of coarse you want the best for them, but you spoil your kids when you don't beat there rear when they are disobediant growning up.
They never learn there are consequenses for doing the wrong things in life and can not distigiush between whats right and whats wrong.
They appear spoilled by "things" because there whiney b**ches that were never told no, and there hippie go free-free yuppy parents don't want to waste there time trying to dicipline there kids now. So It's easier to hand them a fifty or buy them and Ipod and tell them to get lost.

Plus it should all come down to the Dad laying down the law and supporting his wife, that way the kids know don't mess with mom, don't mess with dad and you will be taken care of. The only problem now is so many dads suck a** or are not even around or worse yet have been emascualted by there B**ching wives that the whole family deal isn't even working anymore. Selfish friggin parents....

Kids today are becoming too soft and emo. When i was in highschool, the girls there were all like little paris hiltons, whining about every little thing. They need to go work on a farm, digging up ****. that'll teach 'em.

I'd say my dad probably spoiled me more, my mom is super strict.

But no one can top grandparents, they're the lords of child spoiling.

My mom spoiled me more.

I pretty much got whatever I wanted as a kid. Still do. :yay:

If I wanted spoiling I had to find one of our adopted, non-related family members, since my parents were too broke to spoil me properly. Uncle Cornelius however, always managed to get around my parents and get me stuff they said we couldn't afford.

Can tell they've got more cash these days, now that I'm gone. You could supply a whole orchestra with the contents of my sister's practice room.
