I can't believe this. I still haven't been able to download the podcast successfully and I can't hear a thing.

Does anyone know what they said? Did they at least mention anything about having any other Marvel heroes guest-starring on the show or when Quentin Beck shows up as Mysterio on the series?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Stuart Green

They said that they don't plan on doing crossovers any time soon. However, they still might do a few crossovers after season two. Also, Quentin Beck makes an appearance this season and he will become Mysterio in season 2.

beck is showing up in episode ten as his regular human self and is just a cameo he is going to be mysterio in one of the early episodes of season 2. As for marvel heroes they dont plan to have any in season 1 or 2 and right now only want to stick with spidey's cornor of marvel U. But maybe season 3+ we could end up seeing a hero spot hopefully FF,xmen, DD, or Doc Strange to name a few.

Wow, 5th pages and still no one put up any highlights, it's enough to make you wanna curse.

Oh, I more than get it, but it was still ****ing juvenile.
its obvious you didn't then, if you did you can explain it to me? because if understood correctly i fail to see whats juvenile about it. most people on the internet just seem to go "oh i get it blah blah blah" over and over even though they have no idea what they are talking about

Yea i know, someone should have done a highlight of answers by now.

Oh, okay. Thanks, Spider-ManHero12.

By the way, Webhead2006, I read on Comics Continuum a few weeks ago they're not allowed to include the Fantastic Four, even though they tried to have an appearance by Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and they can't use Kingpin, either, because of the whole Daredevil legal right thing, if I remember correctly.

I do agree on one thing: there should be a highlights of the answers all in one post. That way, everyone would know and not miss any of the answers by accident.

Well, thanks for reading and have a good day, everybody.

exactly, thats the only point i'm trying to make. The only reason Shocker was changed was because Weisman felt like it. there is no logical reason to it, and thats all i'm saying.

How do you know that? Maybe he felt it would be more interesting to have one of the Enforcers be a super powered villain. Maybe this will be linked to a future storyline he's planning.

Shocker is a C-list villain. His importance in the Spider-Man universe is minute. He's a thug with powers. Nothing more. Why do you think that nobody cares how lame Bendis makes Shocker in Ultimate Spider-Man?

i've seen some people get all in a huff and puff about that over in the comics forum. i think its funny, it makes sense to me anyway, i don't understand how Shocker is any threat to Spidey anyway, he has no problem with guys with guns

Spider-Man can just web up the gun, or yank it away from the crook, web up the crook himself, or knock out the crook. None of those work against Shocker. Plus Shocker's blasts are way bigger and more damaging to the surrounding area than bullets. To dodge a single bullet, Spider-Man may only have to tilt his head, and only for a fraction of a second, and then he can move his head back. To dodge a vibro-blast, he's gotta jump completely out of the way. And that blast is going to take out a huge chunk of the wall, if not the whole wall itself (or ceiling/floor/whatever). It's like the difference between playing dodgeball and going out on the highway and dodging traffic.

It all depends on the storyteller and the artist to make a character as they please. John Romita JR has done magnificent job of depicting the Shocker in Peter Parker Spider-Man and he wasn't portrayed at all as the Shocker we all knew, he was way to powerful.

Here I have done some highlights from the podcast:

  • Kraven will appear in episode 15 (specifically speaking of Kraven's Last Hunt Saga; we can expect more mature stories in the Direct to Video DVDs)
  • DVD editions of the seasons will include additional scenes that were cut! Like some violence scenes and 3 episode arcs will be merged and edited as movies. (they specifically mentioned the Lizard and the Rhino episodes)
  • Tinkerer has a cameo appearance in Season I and becomes the Tinkerer in Season II
  • There will be some tragedy and death!? (maybe even in Season I)
  • They are definitely hoping for 65 episodes set in high school years and after that more mature stories that set in college years of Peter Parker. (the death of Gwen Stacy will not happen until the college years, nor the Clone Saga)
  • The arcs of the first season represent themes:
-Biology
-Economics
-Chemistry
-Psychology
  • The Prowler may appear in the show
  • According to both Josh and Greg one of the later episode in the last arc has the best script
  • There is a significance for the story of Spider-Man that Venom appears in Season I and Greg thinks that his appearance is not rushed.
  • Quentin Beck appears in episode 10 but becomes Mysterio in Season II

Thank you, you've done a wonderful job. :)

I wish they'd just release the entire season (on dvd) rather than 3 episode chunks.

  • That sounds the most interesting to me; they're combining the episode arcs into full movies for DVDs, and there are three episodes to each arc, but I would really wanna see the last four episodes merged into a movie-like version...that, imo, will be an awesome and epic big episode.

    Sweetness, 777, haha.
