Well, I just got back from the DMV with a driver's permit in hand, passing the written test after a couple failed attempts. Looks like third time's a charm after all.
I don't understand how anyone could fail the written test. Its just common sense stuff; you don't even have to study it. Makes me worry, though seeing how a lot of people drive, I'm not surprised.
IMO, each time you fail the written test, then you should have to take an additional week's worth of driving lessons.
I almost failed my actual driver's test because I stopped on a crosswalk, and the instructor said "There could have been people there, you could have run over them", and I shot back something like "There weren't, though, were they?"
Damn I didnt fail the written or the driving test at all when I got mine. I got a 98 on my driving test. The woman took off 2 points from when I did a turn about and didnt back up all the way into the driveway just let the front tires rest in the curb ya know. Didnt seem necessary to me to pull all the way up into the drive way
