Persona 5

I don't think that's too surprising. It's not out outside possibility for them to wait for them to wait this late to reveal a 2015 date, but pretty unlikely and unusually. It would also mean that it would have had to release in November or December, and Summer seems like a better time for a more niche game like this than the holidays.

I saw it coming without the release date, but it is still disappointing that they were BS with a 2015 release date for so long. They knew they were never releasing this game this year and still sold it like they were. This is a common trend on the PS4, in an attempt to sell consoles and I hate it.

There were three article about it back to back on Siliconera here one from word of the head director which was the latest rgw other two prior were what both you and darth put up.

Btw there's really present surprise waiting for ya inthe land of no night thread.

Persona 5 Director Shares A Message About The Game’s Development And Delay. September 17, 2015 . 6:11am

Persona series chief director Katsura Hashino shared a message for the fans about Persona 5′s latest trailer, development, and delay.

Persona 5’s Tokyo Game Show 2015 trailer reveal was a bit of a bittersweet moment for fans, as Atlus also announced the game’s delay. Persona series chief director Katsura Hashino shared a message for the fans in a video interview.

[YT]bLYUlWvyNu8[/YT]

Hashino says that at the moments, all the “parts” of Persona 5 have been assembled, and they’re currently tuning up the gameplay. In order to meet all the expectations from fans, the chief director and the others are focusing on making Persona 5 into a more complete game, so he asks if it’s okay to keep you guys waiting just a little longer.

As for the game’s development, he says that everything is going smoothly, so not to worry about that.

On the subject of the trailer that was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2015, the part Hashino wanted to share most with everyone is about the concept of “stealing hearts,” which is done by sneaking into one’s heart in phantom thief-like fashion, which will be a focus in the game’s story.

Since Persona 5 is being developed for a new console, Hashino didn’t want to hold anything back and just make a short game, so instead, they’re packing the game with all kinds of content, and it’ll be the most voluminous title the series has yet to see as far as gameplay and play time goes.

For the main cast, Atlus got help from very talented individuals, so Hashino says that you can expect great things out of everything, from event scenes,to battle sequences and dungeon play.

To end the video, Hashino asks if all of you enjoyed the recent trailer, which he believes had a lot to share. However, regarding the development delay of the game, he deeply apologizes to everyone that has been waiting in anticipation for so long. That said, he feels that in order to make the game into something more complete, and something that can provide players with a better experience, more time will be needed, so he asks if you can wait just a little longer.

More details including character profiles and other surprises for Persona 5 will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show in the following days. You can watch Persona 5‘s Tokyo Game Show 2015 trailer here.

Persona 5 will release in Japan in summer 2016, and sometime later in 2016 for North America.

Meet Persona 5’s Troublemaker Ryuji Sakamoto. September 18, 2015 . 12:33am

Ryuji Sakamoto is considered rude and gruff-mannered when it comes to speech and behavior, which makes him stand out as a “problem child” at school.

We’ve already learned about Persona 5’s masked protagonist earlier this year, and Atlus are going to update us with character profiles for the other party members. The latest is the blonde-haired Ryuji Sakamoto.

Ryuji Sakamoto (CV: Mamoru Miyano):

Similar to the leader and protagonist, Ryuji the 16-year-old young man, who is a second-year student at Shujin High School. He’s considered to be rude and gruff-mannered when it comes to speech and behavior, which makes him stand out as a “problem child” at school.

He often gets in trouble with the school teachers and instructors, so he certainly has a problem with conducts. They say that he wasn’t always like that, but it still remains unknown as to how he became that way.

Persona 5 will release in Japan in Summer 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game will release in 2016 for North America. You can check out more of Ryuji and the others in the game’s Tokyo Game Show 2015 trailer, here.

Persona 5’s Cool Cat Morgana Is Still Full Of Mysteries. September 18, 2015 . 6:26am

The character profile investigations by Atlus has reached its end,
with a look at Morgana, who still remains full of mysteries.
There’s also another message from the “Phantom Thief.”

Following the troublemaker Ryuji Sakamoto and heroine Anne Takamaki, the character profile investigations by Atlus has reached its end, with a look at Morgana, who still remains full of mysteries.

Morgana (CV: Ikue Otani):

Morgana is the most mysterious one of all the phantom thieves. Morgana’s height is close to that of a child’s, and while she may look like a cat, nobody knows what she actually is. She also seems to be wearing a mask at all times…

That’s pretty much all the information they were able to get about Morgana in these character profile “investigations.” However, they say that she’s often seen together with the character that appears to be the leader (protagonist). It also mentions that black cats and shadows have similarities…

During the special broadcast on Atlus’ NicoNico Live channel, a certain Phantom Thief left a message for the reporter, saying that they will visit the Makuhari Messe, where Tokyo Game Show is being held.

This Phantom Thief will appear at 2:30pm JST during the Persona Special Stage event, and says to look forward to it. This will be the second time that this mysterious Phantom Thief appears at a Persona event, with the last time being his appearance at the Nippon Budokan, which was teased by a message on the Japanese newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun.

Persona 5 will release in Japan in Summer 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game will release in 2016 for North America. You can check out more of Morgana and the others in the game’s Tokyo Game Show 2015 trailer, here.

there will be more as I said it more then twice now, that there will be more character's on the way which of them will be in this thieves of justice team it'll b no different from the other installments of persona 1-4 befor this, where there was a decent amount of both sex's with the odd character that was ether like Teddy from 4 who latter took the form of male human in the human world or the cyborg female Aegis, before him that was in persona 3 which the cat represents.

There are 3 males (one the protagonist we play as )and the cat and besides that there's the bi Racial female class mate , expect more characters to join the team and some of them to add to the female ratio.

Oh as I said in the main dragon quest thread. I won't be posting as fast as I used to when the news is put up. I'll still post but won't be immediately after it's put up from certain gamer news sites. it'll some what later

Some stuff has come up that needs my attention. So I'll do my best but it won't be as fast as it used to be.

Just a few posts up is an article about her being Quarter American, which I assume means she's white/Asian mix.

There were plenty of prominent female characters in Harry Potter, so no, it didn't disappoint me. Furthermore, at least the Persona games I played, had plenty of prominent female characters. Same with Final Fantasy. Now suddenly it looks like they are just none.

I am still trying to figure out how one can be Quarter American and what that means. :funny:

Yes, the previous Persona games had lots of female characters, as did damn near every Final Fantasy before XV. However, the developers of Persona 5 and FFXV have chosen to mix it up and do something different for these new outings. Not afraid of a little diversity are you? :sly:

I feel like I missed something, did they actually say the five characters we know of now are the only playable characters in the whole game? I just assumed more would be revealed over time since the game is now like at least 6-8 months away?

I mean, her father or mother was half American, and the other parent was full Asian? I'm not sure what else it would mean. And I assume American just means white like it often does in classifying someone as Asian-American.

but there was only one that was a main character. of the 3 most important characters anyway. that's what I was getting at. of course there were others but none with a role as big as hers.
