There seems to be times when Peter and Sylars voice going deep and strong. Before Issac shoots Simone by mistake Peter yells at Issac sending him flying across the room when he says ''Don't lie to me'' Also in another ep Sylar meets Peter in Mohinder's place. When Sylar speaks, his voice is distorted and deep:huh: Never understood that.

It's just a manipulation for added effect.

The writers have addressed this in multiple interviews. They put the effect in for "coolness." I kid you not. "Coolness." It was never supposed to mean anything more. I think they should have kept their "coolness" to themselves. Doing things like that just confuses viewers.

You can read the interview here. The relevant excerpt is this:
Q: Also, what's the significance with the Heroes' voices changing? Aside from Eden (whose voice changed when she used her power of suggestion) we've seen Sylar and Peter's (last episode) voices change. Is there a deeper reason for this or should we just chalk it up to the 'coolness' factor?

A:
The Peter and Sylar changes should be credited to coolness factor.

Thats balls. "Oh, hey, guys. Lets do something for "coolness" factor, and coolness factor only. lololol." **** with that George Lucas crap.

Seeing as how Peter actually made contact with Eden at one point, I wouldnt doubt that he's got the power.

Hmmm that would make sense. As I recall, Peter sent Issac flying have way across the room by yelling at him.

Peter flung Isaac across the room with telekinesis. I'm sure Peter did absorb Eden's power of persuasion, but clearly that's not what was intended in that scene with Isaac.

Yeah whats wrong with just having a coolness factor. The toothpick left on the floor doesnt have to have reason, the extra dusty table could just be dusty. The lower voice was for coolness.
