For his voice and tone, I would like a warped/distorted "double voice", the kind of which is heard in death metal. Something creepy like that. He should have dialogue, not just be a slobbering goof from outer space.

I hope not. With Harry always up Peter's behind about how Spidey/Parker caused his father's death, I hope Venom/Brock does the same psychological trash talking. You have both Venom and Brock that hate Parker and Spiderman, so I hope there is a lot of "You did this to us." type dialouge from Venom. It would make it harder for Spidey to really use harsh defense against either, as such:
1. He will know from personal experience that Brock is not really responsible for his actions, as the symbiote is influencing him the way it influenced Parker.
He won't want to hurt Brock just because Venom is controlling him.
2. Harry and Parker were best buds, so he may be unwlling to use hard tactics against Harry, at least until Harry really turns it up to 11.

I personally think he will probably ambush Spidey as he goes to save Mary Jane, then sometime after the fact devolve his jaw so it's back down to Brock's normal mouth so he can speak with Brock's normal voice. The way the script treatment describes him he is one notch above Godzilla in relation to his film purpose, so anything above a screech while sporting his actual mouth will surprise me. I don't doubt Brock will refer to the bonded twosome as 'we', but I doubt he'll have SM:TAS' voice.

He has to atleast use a quick quip, or snicker. Venom has to refer to Spider-man as "Parker" as he always does.

And I think if they have Brock's head come out of the suit, and talk... it just wouldn't look good. I have a bad feeling about it. I think it would draw me away from the illusion of the movie or something.

As a huge Venom fan, I hope to God that Topher's voice isn't heard when he morphs into Venom. The last image I want to be in my head when my favorite comic character is on screen is Venom getting called a "dumb***" by Redd Foreman or spouting stupid dialog in a smokey 360 scene.

Give him a full range raspy voice, so Venom can wisecrack and menace Spidey and it sounds believable. The cartoon versions of Venom growled way too much. In the comics, Venom never growled or hissed until AFTER the cartoon debut. Also, the vocal effects they used on Hank Azaria in the cartoon made Venom sound like a Transformer.
