Documentary/Biopic Peter Farelly’s ‘I Play Rocky’

Wonder if Stallone will be involved with the project too?

Stallone is so iconic at this point, it’ll be really weird seeing someone play him that’s not a caricature.
Yeah, the making of Rocky is an interesting enough concept for a movie but Stallone is one of those celebrities that any imitation could come off as a parody, much like Arnold. But I guess you could say the same for someone like Elvis and Austin Butler as well as other actors who've previously played him were able to make it work.

I guess Elordi is what you get if Stallone and Lundgren had a baby.

There are better choices to direct than Peter Farrelly, though. I thought Green Book was meh.

Pacino and now Stallone?

This guy now gets to be two iconic Italian American actors in the 1970s. The making of Taxi Driver next ? lol

In a fitting echo of that spirit, Ippolito is said to have pursued the part of Stallone with the same relentless drive. Upon first hearing about the project, he made an unsolicited audition tape on his own and sent it directly to the producers. That bold move ultimately led to him landing the role, mirroring the very tenacity I Play Rocky celebrates.

As always, **** Sylvester Stallone, a man who is anti-Hollywood for being “too woke” or whatever even though he has like 2-3 movies under development at all times and multiple TV shows and now even has this biopic happening, which I’m sure will be indulgent AF.

But yeah, Hollywood has really been tough on right wing d-bags like him.
