i've been acting recently... haven't done any acting for ages but i got a part in a play called "The Burial at Thebes" which is a recent-ish translation of a Greek tragedy called Antigone by Sophocles. And I volunteered to do the poster... [at the climax of the play the main character, Antigone, daughter of Oedipus, is buried alive on the King's orders... that's the moment i tried to capture in my illustration]

we've then used the eye on its own for a banner and on t-shirts... i think this image is actually stronger than the full design

also, i've been commissioned to design a character for my mate's website based on the african trickster god Eshu. here is a preliminary sketch i did...

For an action centered character the static pose and scenery doesn't work well.

I'd really like to see the un-cropped version to be able to judge whether this works or not. I'm an Aeon fan so I dig it. I;ve always dug your style as well but I have to co-sign on what Kad stated about the static pose. Maybe if there was a fly going into her eye or some sort of movement it would have been sweeter.

alright mate. as for colouring your stuff, i'm kinda busy at the minute... unless you want to pay me of course! but your work looks fantastic black and white!! still, i love your work and i'd like to support it... maybe i could do a cover or something?

in the meantime... man, i'm so ****, i never finish anything. one of these days i'm going to publish a book and it's going to be called "100 unfinished stories"...

here's the latest effort... basically been chatting to some dude who runs a website about art in my local area and he was up for featuring my barbarian character as a weekly feature on his site. so i've been trying to develop the idea... i'm not happy with the style so i'm going to redo it, but i'd like for you guys to take a look and tell me what you think. so this is my initial attempt at page 1:

there are speech bubbles which go with it but seeing as i'm not happy with it i didn't bother formatting them. also, i can't give away the story to you guys just yet!

do you have a mac phig? If so theres a program called comic life you can drag your panels into and its SUPER easy to add text boxes / bubbles

something a bit different now... at horror's request, i took on coloring a page of his comic "codename: eden". if you haven't already, you should definitely check it out. some of the character designs are really effing cool.

anyway, it's the first time i ever tried coloring somebody else's lines... it was an interesting experience! what do you guys think of the result?

well the upside of being to busy to post much recently is that I now get to sift through some of my favorite threads and see what everyone's been up too.

LOVE THIS! I was a big fan of this back in the 90's and its cool to see her in your style. Looks just amazing. brilliant stuff.

good call, i really should go back to this and carry on with it. when i took it to that comic book festival in france it wasn't particularly well received so i kind of put it on the backburner.
