Comics Phoenix - Warsong

soo what is the connection with phoenix and emma? again
or is it the phoenix warsong have nothing to do with phoenix/jean...
it has nothing to do with Jean. A fragment of the Phoenix stayed with the Cuckoos at the end of Endsong adn Warsong picks up with it being activated and it pretty much leads them to their place of origin. Thats pretty much it. They didnt need to use Phoenix for that to happen.

i havent been reading this comic- but let me get this straight- Emma is phoenix.
oh dear lord first she takes jean grey's man now her legacy. she might as will dig her up and pee on her.

Kinda creepy.

I just noticed. If Emma is transparent in her diamond form, shouldn't we see her insides? Like her intestines or her fallopian(sp?) tube? since that baby's skin is practically visible through her arms...:ninja:

fallopian tube is a very random body part for you to name...

but i would have first thought of, you know, her bones and whatnot. either way, i think it's just artistic liberty.

so its in the cuckoos- as a collective?

If Emma is transparent in her diamond form than Emma is transparent. You wouldnt necesarily see her insides if they were transparent as well. Like triplefive said, I think its more about how teh artists wanted to do the cover. Emma for hte most part just shines when she's in diamond form

^Yeah, Marc can still draw. Wonder if this title will have any lasting meaning. I do hope that the Cuckoos end up in one of the X books....maybe New X-Men?

soo wait there is no connection watsoever with jean and emma? since i kknow that emma is not phoenix but stiill is there a connection
who knows?

^There is no connection between Emma and Jean. Emma tried to hold the Phoenix Force in Endsong but could not contain it, it was to much for her. Jean gave Scott the thumbs up to move on with Emma and thats pretty much where the connections between those two end.

This series is totally different from Endsong for the simple fact that Jean is no where involved and it is more of a revelation for the Stepford Cuckoos and Emma. The Pheonix force is kinda a side story IMO.

Could be a side story, but let's wait for the fourth issue. maybe it will mention the Phoenix.... or at least it will appear...

i was thinking that too... there's still time!

The Phoenix Force is just being used in Warsong as a plot device to resurrect the dead Stepfords. It has nothing to do with them or Emma. And it's a marketing device as well, since far more people are tricked into buying the series when it's called Phoenix:Warsong rather than a more accurate title - Stepford Cuckoos: Origins.

The sales figures show that's exactly what happened:
X-MEN: PHOENIX - WARSONG
09/06 #1 (of 5) - 73,503
10/06 #2 (of 5) - 54,727 (-25.5%)
Bit of a stiff drop for issue #2, and there’s a common theme with the X-Men miniseries - this one turns out to have very, very little Phoenix content. It’s actually an origin story for the Stepford Cuckoos. It’ll be interesting to keep an eye on this one, to see whether people drift away when they realise what it is.

It was pushed back to Feb 7, 2007. It was originally scheduled to come out in January.

What's up with Marvel and all the delays????

Wanda also said "No more comics on schedule", but we didn't read it because of a cosmic alignment caused by Uatu, now the Observer, and a bad burrito Galactus ate the other day.
