Comics Phoenix Force: Public Access

Claremont didn't write that, Hudlin did.

Oh. My bad, then.

That being said, I still think it was overkill and Claremont still has a ***** for her, though. He did make several comments about her possibly being an omega level mutant.

I just want Jean back and for her to not have the Phoenix force, then be in denial about it whenever she goes into battle and have that be a new angle.
The Phoenix Force itself is what's overused. It's not Jean or the storylines that come with her, it's just the whole concept OF the Phoenix Force.
If she's going to be a cosmic being, then she needs to go and do things on a cosmic scale. Otherwise, legacy that PF scat and give it to someone else NOT a Grey to deal with.
I wouldn't mind it being treated like a cosmic disease.

Hey, as long as Scott isn't part of it in an EMO lovesick capacity, go for it. :D

Wow too many posts and the only thing that caught my eye was the mention to Fawkes :D

Have in mind, Fawkes also dies in The Order of the Phoenix (the movie that will come out in 7/13 this year), during the Voldemort/Dumbledore battle he "swallows" (very literally) an Avada Kedabra curse, becoming ashes, and after the battle, Dumbledore scoops little baby Fawkes.

About the rest... I have no clue what you'all posted and i'm not gonna read all that yet :p

When? I don't/can't recall.

Mmm.

Not sure he ever used the O word, but he did say we hadn't see how strong she really was.

And considering she's on the top end of the Alpha mutant spectrum, the options are rather limited. ;)

And considering the general of CC's characterization of Storm, well... ;)

possibly being an omega and actually being one are 2 different things. Storm is not a confirmed one and she's an alpha at best

He could've just said she'd never be one in a million years. :D

Edit: You know, the annoying 'open-ended' thingy. :D

:whatever: Rrrrright...stop lying. It's getting you nowhere.

Their are tons of high alpha muatnts like Ororo..do I nee to name a few?:cwink:

Sigh....it's bad enough your mind is so foul that you think Chris is sexually attracted to a fictional character, but when you blame is liking of her her for her having "willpower", you crossing the line dude.

He said we still hadn't seen how strong she could be. Where the f*** is the lie???

Refer to he 'haven't seen how strong she could be' thingy. My point was that CC said she was more powerful than what we've so far.

She's already got the creds for being an Alpha. She can pretty much only go UP.

Foul? :D

And I don't see exactly how I'm crossing a line.

If for some reason, the writer taking over Astonishing would have Cyke get a power upgrade and blast the f*** out of The Hulk, you'd be screaming BS at the top of your lungs.

The tactical applications of 'Ro's willpower are pretty much the defensive equivalent of just that when it comes to psychics.

Yes, but you said that Chris stated EXACTLY that Storm is a possible Omega, and that he made several comments about her being Omega, which is a bold face lie.

The only thing you continuiously keep saying is that "Storms willpower makes her ubber123 powerful!Q1hjv Grrrr!!!", I dont see how you possible think thats the reason she is very powerful.

Fine, whatever.

I'm sorry for f****n assuming that more powerful than Alpha meant Omega. I don't recall the exact wording of the goddamn interviews. He might have said the O word or not. Still, he did imply that Storm didn't have anywhere to go but UP.

Assuming she'd crack the Omega list of ar the very least elite Alpha status(for some reason some people think she isn't already???) is one hell of a reasonnable assumption.

Powerful does not mean overpowered. I don't have a problem with powerful.

My goddamn point was that her commanding the forces of nature AND being able to resist psychic onslaughts was overkill.

And don't think I haven't noticed you not commenting on the Cyke/Hulk analogy. :D

Oh, and just for the record, I've *given up* on the *bashing*. Stated so already.

I like Wolvie. His healing factor is just ridiculously overpowered. Eye-rolling stuff. I like Cyke. He has a gift with trigonometry. Fine. Still, some of the feats he's pulled with it are just laughable. I like Storm. She's willful, strong and she cares. I think her being that good against telepaths is silly. No matter how willful.

I laugh about this s***. Defend it to the death all you want.

anyone see the jean grey splash in wolverine #48? if not, you should. the art is different, but i really like it.
