Pic of Iceman ICED UP!

i hate the Iced Up look

why can't it be more like the comics. i mean really is it that hard to make it so we don't see an X suit instead see a human male form made of ice???

Ha, exactly. It'd be too difficult to do a naked iced up Iceman, what would happen when he de-ices? What would happen his "wang"?

plus it ties in with the whole Singer-vision that if your a member of the X-Men you wear a big leather suit

Yes, considering it makes no sense. Iceman in the comics wore a formfitting suit so the ice took that form. When he wore regular clothing, you'd see the ice underneath the regular clothes. This iceman seems to not only have the ability to turn into organic ice but also anything he touches (which is why his costume is see-through in the tv spot, most noteably his left arm).

And I think it looks awesome. Like a moving ice sculpture. :)

Anyone else sick with the x-suits? I am. I think they're boring and unimaginative. I used to like them but as X3 got closer I just thought there was too little individual design to the costumes. They're largely the same.

Sure it would be hard to pull off the comic costumes and even harder with how they set up the movies but there could be some comprimise. Would it hurt to add a bit more colour?

Though it is nice that Iceman has his ice form, I am a bit dissapointed. I'm not keen on the bubblegum flavoured popsicle look.

erm no... well maybe just the male x-men suits... but the x-women suits are such a joy to look at when Jean, Rogue, Storm, Kitty are wearing them.... may i say cleavage? :D Muahahahaha. :o I can never be bored by their suits...

Eh. I've always liked it. Like a covert ops team with codenames and earpieces and everything. Their identities are left at home and only the X-men are left. They form a battle plan and they execute it. Like a team really not to be messed with...It's no wonder they look at them as a terrorist organization (they even have a school for training new members). I've always loved the direction they went with this and think it would be odd if they changed it around since it's very important to the movies to me.

Well that's what I used to think more or less. It used to show that they were a team to me. Now thought I just think they're dull.

Yeah, but hey, The Fantastic Four have team uniforms so why not the X-men?:) They even tried to use a movie version of the uniform in the comics (original blue and yellows. their "default/backup/in training" uniforms these days). I would have loved that. Don't know why they didn't go with it.

Yeah, but FF had more of the comics look to the costume. It's not so much the team aspect of the costume but the actual look. I would like them to look more like their comic costumes but I would settle for more interesting costumes at least.

I like the X-Men uniforms, especially after Cyclops' "yellow spandex" line in X1.

I like the fact that most uniforms have little adaptations for each member (i.e. Holes in Wolverine's gloves, Colossus' sleeveless vest, etc..)

I like the colour piping/X buckle differentiation.

And Infernal I think I get where you're coming from. I say the problem can be solved with simply more obvious piping color in the X-uniforms. Make them really stand out. Their purpose I'd guess is for emergency cases where the X-men can simply grab their's based on color as they rush to the scene...I wish they haden't removed the X icicles on Bobby's costume though.

I agree with you with some of the characters. Wolverine should have something that cuts after the shoulder (like all his costumes) and there was this one awesome manip someone did of Colossus. They used the website metaled up promo pic and made the costume red and leather yellow and it looked great. Cyclops is never in the damn suit so I guess I can't complain about that. Without going into every character, I agree with you. They lazied out after the first movie.

I think for the sake of continuity that the leather suits should have stayed for the third (and possibly final) film. I think it would be too jarring if all of sudden they had spiffy new costumes. I do agree though that Wolverine probably could have used cut off sleaves.

Well you have to consider budget everything is expensive even remaking suits and EVEN Designing new ones cost money, Money that was used to give us incredible looking VFX. But mostly i think they didn't do it because it makes them look more like unit and whole team.

I could not agree more with what you just said. All the Xmen are diffrent in their own ways....let their costumes relfect that.
