You do realize that the complete series JUST became available to own on Blu-ray and DVD for the first time on November 11th, 2014 right?

I'm simply saying in this time where there is an over saturation of channels, multiple streaming services, DVD and Blu-ray it really isn't all that surprising that the younger Batman crowd hasn't watched that show enough to pick up on a reference like that.

But this is off topic and derailing the thread so moving on....

Whoa, this image just blows my mind how Nolan worked in an homage to the 60's series and most of us didn't even know it.

In Begins, the keys that Bruce hits to unlock the Batcave when escaping the mansion fire are the notes from the "Bam! Bang! Pow!" music stings from the show.

Also, I used to watch the show all of the time but I don't think I've ever seen the episode with that mask. There are something like 120 episodes though. Even after nearly 50 years, some people simply haven't seen them all.
