I hope it's not frowned upon that I post these here...when I was little, I was never really enticed by the act of carving pumpkins. I did a few here and there but, they were always atrocious. I never took my time with them. For some reason this year, I've had an itch to carve pumpkins. Now I find the process quite alluring and really like the art of it all.
After a 13 year hiatus, I sat down and carved my "first" pumpkin this year.
This one, I can't believe I managed to pull off. I tried it twice before on two different pumpkins and I couldn't even get far into it without running into a problem. I wanted to do this one in memory of Brandon Lee and was pretty determined, albeit a bit stubborn, to do this design. A lot of people told me the design didn't seem very practical...I still can't believe I pulled it off. I look at it and always think of The Crow tag line "Believe In Angels".
