I love that movie, but I've never wanted it to be anything else. Can't it just be an awesome cartoon?

I really want that Beware The Grey Ghost art as a poster to hang up on my wall.
 
It was 1997, i was 5 years old, watching Cartoon Network in the UK, and the first ever time i saw anything in my life to do with a 'superhero' was watching Batman: The Animated Series and i instantly fell in love with this.

This isn't a show, it's a work of art.
 
I'd pay a millions dollars to see a live action Phantasm.
I'd pay a million dollars to see a good live action Phantasm.

That movie is as close to a perfect Batman film we've got, so if I knew that someone would take it and adapt it properly, faithfully: I'd be all over it.
Sadly, I don't have that kind of optimism.
