Do you have any idea how many people these celebs come into contact with during these events? Hundreds. Now think about every one of these strangers (most of them hot, sticky and sweaty from nerves and being at a packed convention) wanting a hug or hand shake, or even the risk of them being inappropriate. It can get disgusting real quick. Even worse if the celebrity is tired, shy or uncomfortable around people. She's a person, not your friend or pet; if she doesn't want to be touched, you have no right to complain.

Have you actually been to a comic convention before? Or have you seen the pictures? Stan Lee is in his 90s and could catch his death from any one of the people who come to see him and he still allows people to hug him.

Famke Janssen was surrounded by security guards. Any fan that would have tried to touch her inappropriately would have been rugby tackled in an instant and then banned. Seems like a waste of money if you ask me.

I would have liked to know beforehand that she didn't want to be touched (and that she wouldn't even bother to look even slightly happy in the picture) so I could have avoided paying $65 to see her. And by "touching", I don't mean grabbing. I mean an arm around the shoulder or a playful high five.
