I've wanted to read that series, but haven't taken the time. Mostly because of the giant sand worms, do they have a big role in that?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely not saying it's bad at all. I just tried reading it and didn't understand what was going on because it was heavy on the sci-fi jargon. I'm not going to be the guy running around pissing in Dune fan's cornflakes.

Actually it was pretty good. A lot more violent with guns and blood since it takes place after the Rangers lost the war.
