First Avenger Pictures of Cap Costume, Wings anyone?

HECK YESSSSS!
WINNGS!

Nerd fanboy rage of happiness is over now.

WAIT HYDRA SOLDIERS! ON FUTURISTIC BIKES! FTW!

I'm serious.

Those pics give me an Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade vibe. I hope this movie is amazing.

Okay, I was cool with it until I saw the shield. So disappoint.

What don't you like about the shield? The Red/Silver combo or the fact that it's scuffed up? I think it'll look cooler when it's being smashed into Nazis and or Hydra Agents...

No, I love the design. I'm just a huge fanboy when it comes to it being indestructible.

I was thinking that too but it could just be dirty. I picture whenever Cap meets Fury and the Avengers in modern day they'll give him an updated more streamline costume and his polished up shield.

Man, the costume looks baggy, bulky and ugly.

Just terrible.

I seriously hope the costume becomes streamline as soon as possible. Cap is supposed to be totally ripped and they are just buring that whole aspect of his character under a leather trash bag.

The paint job shouldn't be affected by anything either, it isn't in all the comics I've read.

I would say that what you are seeing is the special effects leftover of whatever they are using for bullet strikes.

I'm not doubting that the paint job isn't affected in the comics and I would guess that it's probably easier for the artists to draw the shield from panel to panel without adding a ton of damage detail to keep track of. I'm just curious as to why the paint wouldn't be affected in real life? Do you think they added vibranium to the paint the way they used to put lead in paint?

i'm not cool with the grand director back going on there :o

I'm with you, there is no excuse for it to look that way. A leather trash bag is exactly what I'd use to describe it. That better not be what it looks like in the actual film, someone will die by my hand. Hopefully since this is just stunt work they're making a costume that's supposed to be only the skeleton of what the actual costume looks like and fill in the rest with visual effects.

Its very possible that the shield is not the indestructible version. Tony didn't seem to value the shield in the movie so its probably an very strong shield but most of its worth was that it belonged to Captain America.

Stunt man...stunt uniform....it doesn't have to be a perfect suit for stunts.

M. Bison: YES! YES!

Marvel broke the fanboys with Thor's helmet & they did it again with the wings! Marvel: 2 Fanboys: Zip

Exactly what I'm hoping for. But do they usually do that with stunt double's costumes? In every behind-the-scenes thing of other movies I see it has the stunt-man wearing the full costume or wardrobe of the character they're filling in for.

That stuntman looks so awkward in that suit. It's like the bat-fakes in the beginning of the Dark Knight.

But it's cool to see the wings.

they do because stunt doubles are always in moving shots the Hero costume is reserved for the Actor and is a cleaner better all around version of the costume

*writes from experience*

I like it for those who are complaining about it its just the stunt suit but i hope the suit that Chris wears will look a lot more better on screen cause this stunt guy doesn't really make the suit look good.

You are seeing a still shot between takes.....ever wonder how it will look as he travels down the road at 90 miles an hour with bombs and bullets flying.....
