The Dark Knight Rises Piecing the 4-hour cut together - SPOILERS!

Interesting points brought up by SHH poster redjokerjd:

How Bane figured out who Batman was is pretty easy for at least Talia to put together. Bruce was trained by The League Of Shadows & they knew he was Batman. Bane is friends with the daughter of the man who trained Bruce. How Bane knew where his toys were though was definitely never explained

Maybe the 4-hour versions have even more expositional monologues from characters, more crying from Alfred....more of that prison doctor being the Greek chorus narration for every thing about it, and more of that old guy translating the Greek. Another story by Blake about his high school years summer school, perhaps. A longer cut wouldn't have helped its pacing/subplot hoarding issues. More should have been left out of the script.

Greek? That's a Moroccan (I believe the whole chant stems from it).

So Forely was gonna get run over? But instead he just got shot right?

^ That's what the audience is led to believe, yes,

This thread is totally speculative but we heard months ago that there was a cut that was nearly 4 hours long. After viewing the film, many SHH members now think there have been heavy, heavy edits due to the pacing of the film and several plotholes. List the things here that you think were missing from the film.

1. Bale mentioned in an interview that his last scene as Batman was with Oldman on a roof. But the scene we saw was underneath a bridge (I think?) with the Bat.

2. No Bat-Tumbler? During the cops-vs-mercenaries filming, we saw a photograph of a Black Tumbler on a flatbed under a blue sheet driving on the highway. Has the Bat-Tumbler been used but cut from the film?

Feel free to add more.

1.) Bale said the last scene he FILMED as Batman was with Anne ontop of a building. And it doesn't mean it was going to be the very last scene in the film.

2.) That was only The Bat being filmed.

I honestly think the movie would have lost many people, including me, if it wasted any more precious time on Miranda (just a mask) or other side-characters and didn't just get on with Batman getting back on the big screen and having a goddamn Batman movie and the Big Bad Bane being villianous.

I hate the King Kong Jackson style of overloading the movie with side plots and action scenes and plodding its pace to a halt. Thank god Nolan resisted loving his work too much and wrecking a great movie.

I'm not sure what some of you guys was watching A lot of it you should have figured out but a lot was explained. Why we would you look for someone confirmed dead use your head on that one. Terrorist are ready to die for their beliefs u guys do remember real-life terrorist right. Someone said gordon knowing bruce wayne was batman. Batman basically told him "it could be something small like putting a coat on a lil kid shoulders or something like that he said and they showed him do it from batman begins. Bane knowing bruce wayne is batman they took over wayne enterprise with damn near every weapon batman has in it, on top that he and tate had planned this for awhile. If anything the plot hole would be people not putting 2&2 together and seeing camo versions of batman's tank riding around.

To me the biggest thing absent from the movie was an explanation as to how Bruce and Bane got to wherever the pit was and then how they got back. They just cut to that. Didn't even tell us it was in a foreign country or what country it was (older parts of the world) or something like that. I guess you could stretch logic and say skyhook was used for bruce to get back or something but I don't think any planes would have been landing in the city at that line and the exits were cut off. Huge plot hole.
