I disagree. This may be their biggest hit. It'll attract the comedy and action audience. The combination of action and comedy has worked before for comedy actors. Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor had a big hit with Silver Streak. Eddie Murphy had a HUGE hit with Beverly Hills Cop (the highest grossing movie of 1984 - - I kid you not), The Blues Brothers was a big hit for John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase had a big hit with Fletch, and Bill Murry with Ghostbusters.

This film looks like a great throw-up to action-stoner comedies of yester-year, filled with characters who have no idea how to act in these situations. Kicking the windshield like that will not actually break it off, it will probably get your foot badly hurt. As we have seen.

Also, I thought it was once weird that David Gordon Green is directing this (see: Trailer for Snow Angels) but now I kinda get how he is putting his stamp on this. It looks pretty inventive, even in terms of action and shots, etc...

Apatow made Seth and Evan Goldberg write a "Weed action movie" and we're going to get it. The Apatow audience plus any Spidey fans will probably check this out with the stoners.

Franco has been in crap or smaller films that won't attract the mass audiences but you're right he needs this.

But this film sold Sony on Rogen writing/starring in The Green Hornet.
