Will Jack Sparrow...er... Captain Jack Sparrow return?

from what im hearing/heard, Jack has 3 more adventures... any news/thoughts/anything...

I, for one, cant wait. Pirates 4, 5, and 6 sounds great to me. The more Jack, the better.

if theres a 4th. which there will be. id want to find out alot more than that BS....like Jacks origin, the mutiny, his deal with Davy Jones....theres so much to be explained, and so much money made, its not even a question of IF there will be a sequel, but WHEN....2010, LATEST, IMO.

I read an article about this. Allegedly there's brainstorming going on over at Disney headquarters.

Our source says that Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is no longer just a possibility, it’s almost a certainty. More importantly, Johnny Depp is all but assured to return, though our scooper claims he may end up making as much as $35 - $40 million to do it. Also returning will be Geoffrey Rush and Gore Verbinski as director, but forget about the rest of the cast because from now on the movies will only be about Captain Jack.

Jerry Bruckheimer could be planning to enter the realm of Science Fiction this time around and it could be the heart of a new trilogy with Jack Sparrow and his crew of misfits. Some of the brainstorming going around involves some Jules Verne type of scenarios involving some pretty big flying machines, a man who wants to rule more than just the ocean, a encounter with the most famous and dangerous pirate of all, a race to get to a lost world (Hint, Hint) and Jack and his crew going to where no pirate has gone before.

Don’t get too attached to the idea of another Pirates of the Caribbean sequel though. Our insider thinks that Disney plans to take a long, long breather between Pirates movies: “word is that the start date could be around 2009 to 2011.”

well they should just go with the Stallone route like he did with Rocky balboa and John Rambo.

Name the fourth movie "Jack Sparrow".

just have it all about Jack sparrow, after all, he is the main draw of the franchise.

And we don't need any Keira or Orlando anymore.

Just give us the Sparrow.

Oh yeah. and Depp should get at least 100 million for each jack sparrow movie, the guy deserves every penny!

I think it was a mistake to have the sequels follow directly from the first one, storywise. It would have been better if they'd made three seperate adventures.

I do hope they make another one, because the one thing that dissapointed me about the ending of AWE was that Jack didnt end up with the Pearl. Jack Sparrow is THE Black Pearl's captain!

As big of a fan as i am 3 more not so sure maybe two prequel films ok. But i don't want to see this trilogy beat people to death like Harry Potter does. They are good at 3 movies but there is so much Jack can do unless the script is better and we get new blood for jack to play off of. Face it Barbossa is whats needed and was missing in DMC.
Harry POtter looked great through 4 movies but the fifth movie kinda seemed how hum compared to 3 and 4.

Don't how to feel about POTC4, if they actually spend some time and try to not rush it out- then yeah, there's a shot at it.

I hope they bring back capn jack now the awful love story betwee bloom and knightly has concluded they can concentrate on the real stars of the movies, depp and jeffrey rush. i love the fountain of youth ending it paves the way for a new adventure.
