How is Mulan a princess? She isn't related to royalty and she didn't fall in love with a prince.
Then again, why aren't people mad about Mulan? She was dressed up as a boy 80% of the time, and yet at the Parks, she's represented strictly as a femy princess.
Mulan looks like Bobby Lee in a wig...

The picture I saw had her still wielding a bow. The one linked with the "real" Merida. Though that might have been only the one shot of her with it.I have gone back and forth on this topic, and then I watched the Daily Show tonight, and I realized they took her bow away and wrote that ridiculous letter about her "Dressing up" for her ceremony. Did they not even watch the film?
"I want to shoot an arrow" might be the most adorable thing ever put on film. I now hate this.
I hate that they tamed her hair. Speaking for the unruly-haired girls of the world, that flyaway hair was one of my favorite aspects of Merida's appearance. They also slimmed her down, and put her in a more sparkly version of the dress that she hated in the movie.
I'm not sure that anyone at Disney Consumet Products has actually seen this film.
I saw some of the new Merida merchandise in the Disney Store yesterday. She looks like Barbie now.![]()

I agree that Kida should be there, but I think Disney tends to ignore the less successful movies. Wasn't the girl from Black Cauldron also a princess?
